So close to believing
That you were the one
So close to believing
That my search was done
So close to wanting
A lifetime with you
So close to thinking
My sad days were through
So close to hoping
That this wasn't the end
So close to wishing
That we could stay friends
Now I'm left with memories
Of a fairytale dream
And I'm finally realizing
Things are not what they seem
It's rather ironic
When I look back and see
That "Enchanted" descibes plainly
What you did to me
So enchanted by your eyes
I fell for you then
And enchanted I was kept
Right up until the end
But now you're enchanted
By somebody new
And I'm left here to wonder
Why you won't see me through
You aren't the princess
I thought you to be
You aren't the woman
I thought was meant for me
So I'll get back on my horse
And ride into the sun
And I'll find my true princess
When my time is done

Constant as the dawning day
Gentle as the breeze that blows
Pure as snow that's freshly fallen
Beautiful as a summer rose
Breathtaking as a rainbow
That spreads across the sky
Yet humble as the sparrow
Where rests God's watchful eye
Lovely as the fragile lily
And the stars that fill the night
Graceful as a butterfly
That spreads it's wings in flight
Peaceful as a forrest stream
Harmless as a dove
This can only begin to describe
The girl I truly love
She's more than I imagined
More than I ever hoped to find
More beautiful as days go by
She's always on my mind
She's my best friend, my angel
The one that I adore
I'd refuse the world ten times over
For I could not ask for more
I love her more than life itself
She's my every dream come true
She makes me smile when I'm sad
Cheers me up when I feel blue
I could go on forever
Through every night and day
And say how much I love her
In every eloquent way
But truth can be found in silence
And so long as we're apart
When you wonder how much I love you
Just listen for my heart
