Enchanted

So close to believing That you were the one So close to believing That my search was done So close to wanting A lifetime with you So close to thinking My sad days were through So close to hoping That this wasn't the end So close to wishing That we could stay friends Now I'm left with memories Of a fairytale dream And I'm finally realizing Things are not what they seem It's rather ironic When I look back and see That "Enchanted" descibes plainly What you did to me So enchanted by your eyes I fell for you then And enchanted I was kept Right up until the end But now you're enchanted By somebody new And I'm left here to wonder Why you won't see me through You aren't the princess I thought you to be You aren't the woman I thought was meant for me So I'll get back on my horse And ride into the sun And I'll find my true princess When my time is done

Good job. Keep up the great work. I hate when you think you have finally found the right one for you but then everything just falls apart, I had that happen to me twice. Keep writing!!! -Courtney-

Thanks for the encouraging words! I wasn't sure if my work would even get read, but it's nice to know it's well received. :)
