Scarlet Liquid,Crystal Kiss

Another sip is taken,a cigarette burns away unattended
Cheers to the scarlet liquid, and the sorrow that consented
To the time spent dancing my lips,on the rim of a crystal kiss
Freefalling tears so warm, how appropriate for times like this

Lying here on satin sheets, flesh adorned in burgundy lace
I long for the smooth caress, of forgiveness in an embrace
With my every faltered breath, though more like a naked sigh
I release my pain in silent tears,in hope this hurt will say goodbye

Slowly casting guilt filled eyes, around this room, until they fall
Upon the candlelit silhouette,of the ghosts from tears before
Distant are the smiles, nearer to me now is deep despair
And to this empty feeling, only your death could compare

I play my tear kissed lips, upon the crystal, now refilled
And in the silence of my grieving,my breath is almost stilled
Watching as sheer curtains, dance before a pale moonlight
I stay this way, alone and lost, trapped in the dark of night

Another sip is taken,a cigarette burns away unattended
Cheers to the scarlet liquid, and the sorrow that consented
To the time spent dancing my lips,on the rim of a crystal kiss
Freefalling tears so warm, how appropriate for times like this

Far From Home

In my heart there is pain
As I long for my home
Where I know I once walked the yellow grass
Guided by the sky and ~wind spirit~
The crow always at my shoulder
The warmth upon my back
I watched dances for the buffalo
and sang proud for my people
I knew the earth before she was raped

In my eyes are the storms
Of many moons and I am without
Though in dreams she comes to me
A round faced woman and speaks
Of those who have waited just like me
Drifting through time
Until the new sun

My tears hold the story of yearning
The moving within
They who come when I walk through dreams
Know me,know my heart
I have no desire to be of this tongue
My love is for the people I belong with
My love is for all who need it
As the critters
As the Earth
~Great Spirit~ I am your daughter
Make my path the right one
So I may come home

Believe In You

A breath can be a struggle
When the heart lies on the floor
So easily your dreams can fade
Some leave forever more

Your world can lose its colours
The brightness disappears
And everything seems muted
When listening through your tears

Weakness forms a part of you
Its an effort for the mind
To comprehend the damage done
When love leaves you behind

But willingness and self respect
Along with good old pride
Will see you through another day
The pain will soon subside

Find a way to hold yourself
Stand true to all you are
Believe you can attain new breath
To reach is not that far

For within,we all are special
And deserve the right to be
Uncompromised within ourselves
Untouched,forever free

Where Roses Bleed

So still the night around her

As perfumed candles softly dance

To the breath of tears now falling

Upon the petals in her hands

Glistening drops of memories

Cascade slowly down her face

As she is taken back through time

To a once upon a place

Where once she was a dancer

Upon a stage dressed in his smile

And blood red roses were an offering

With hat in hand,he showed his style

A nearing stranger in the shadows

He faltered from the light

Tossing blood red roses

Then softly whispering goodnight

These moments were so long ago

Still they're etched within her mind

As trembling fingers caress each petal

Her heart,it falls behind

Seeing is believing

She knows now she must move on

Though beautiful memories remain

The blood red roses have all gone

Somewhere in the stillness

Beyond the beating of her heart

There cries a thousand roses

Blood red and torn apart

Deeper Than Blue

Deeper than blue,I have journeyed
All the while, honesty has held the door...

open

No need for guesswork,or follow the numbers
I have danced, between lines and still I remained...

naked

Yet your hurtful ways have dressed me
In a cloak of tattered silence
Afraid to move,I just might break
Threads of once my very finest

It seems my dance of colours
Has faded and lost it's two step shine
I'll never forget the faltered beat
But I will forgive...in time

Deeper than blue, you have sent me
Still...
honesty holds the door

I'll always dance naked between the lines
One day, you'll hurt me no more

September Morn

Veilled by the morning rain, the day awakes and sings
Mother Earth is proud and boasts, her many splendid things
Dew kissed leaves and springtime scents,a painting fit for brush
I am lost and mesmerised,in the beauty of her hush

Peeping out behind the grey,a speckled touch of blue
Mother Earth has given birth, within the angels view
Sea Eagles circle just above, magpies serenade the morn'
As below the seeds of yesteryear, are once again, reborn

Blue Tongue rock sits silently, watching the bay below
Wind spirit dances upon the water,he whispers and I know
He plays about my thoughts and touches me with kind
To leave his voice of wisdom in the corners of my mind

Today the sky will not be dressed, her attire will be none
She stretches herself in naked view, teasing the sleepy sun
As the wind grows colder,as the birds all huddle in their trees
Mother Earth, she holds my heart and gently sets my spirit free

Whispering Sands

Reflections of my tears,as though a starlit sky
Beneath my breast a heartbeat skips
As I look beyond and sigh...

Beyond the timeless beauty of a deep blue velvet night
Farther than eternity, where always there is light
Miles in the distance, beneath moonbeams and stars
The deserts sands are whispering, shimmering afar

I crave within the cool eve wind, dressed only in a song
A thought plays upon my lips, and moves my tears along
I think about your smile and the way it touches mine
As you tempt me from so far beyond, desert sands of time

Warming to the flesh, one mere taste of yesterday
Fantasies caressed,in our eclipse of night and day
Stolen moments but a few,I make the most of stars
As I listen for the whispers, from desert sands afar

Eyes are of the soul, one heart can beat for two
Beneath my breast a smile is born
Each breath I take is you

To Fall With Wings

As little or as much of the rains may fall...
and then some

The air may be silent or with whisperings,call...
and hearts hum

Dreams may be coloured or fade as the dawn...
for time moves

Tamed are the remnants of yesterdays tears..
as love soothes

I remember well the moment,as I took a step back to my last
For a breath or two before the smile...
I felt the fear from seasons passed

With searching words and frail trust,I watched those ocean eyes
Waiting for a voice to sound...
from the depths of truths disguise

I have waited while the desert sands, shifted and sent you home
I stayed with you throughout each day...
so you'd not be alone

I now await a time to come, when flesh will talk and words will cease
Nearer to the way we move...
Beyond my thoughts of you and me

I do not falter for the distance,'tis only time and each time is new
Nor without courage to fly these heights...
If my fall be into you

One Last Stroll

Along a crooked dusty track, beneath a canopy of green
She takes a final stroll,a lonely time it's been
Many years she has struggled, everyday to carry on
Without the one who held her heart, for so long he's been gone

Noticing the flowers, growing wild aside the way
Awkwardly she stoops and there her fingers stray
Across the purple petals, that he'd once bring to make her smile
On his way home from the fields,he would visit here a while

She did not care to pick them, instead she left them where they swayed
Never could they mean as much, without his touch upon them made
Imagining him bending there, kneeling on the ground
A few tiny tears were tasted as they fell without a sound

The sunlight came in streaks, spraying through the leaves
Warming to her face, but not the heart that grieves
For nothing through the years, had held her quite like him
And so the the burning sun, compared to love was dim

This will be her final stroll,no more days will have her here
Her time has come, her family's grown, she'll not last another year
And so she finds the special place, from all those years before
Where two had stood and held the other, plans of raising kids and more

Looking all about the meadows, she took in with one last breath
The memories of a lifetime, and then she courted death
Peaceful as she rested, against the tree where they'd first kissed
Now she sees the light, and runs to the man she's missed
