Adejola Joseph Poem
Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Ajimoko III by Adejola Joseph
Sagacious king
Prudent king
You are an embodiment of knowledge
Encyclopedia of principles
One in a trillion
A king with an uncommon grace
I jealous your star my king
A king like no other
Ade a pe lori yin sir
Bata a pe lese yin
Irukere a di okinni my king
You stepped in with grace and glory
May your reign bring peace stability and progress
May you last a lifetime
And may your kingdom emancipate all and sundry
May birds chirp like birds
May rats squeak like rats
And may humans sound like humans under your reign my king
Amen and amen.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Secret by Adejola Joseph.
Secret...
Like a lighted candle covered or buried under a mountain
So is secret kept or hidden for ages
Secret is an invisible phenomenon
A mystery kept until the day of disaster
Secret is like unborn child in the womb
Issues discussed behind closed doors
Secret.
Learn to keep a secret
Don't run a porous or loose mouth
It is what is hidden that has a value
Secret.

Adejola Joseph Poem
One night stand by Adejola Joseph
One night stand
Your breast is like the firmness of a ripened apple
Beautiful to the core
You are a diamond
One night stand.
Give me one night stand
I can't wait
Hoping for a brace
One night stand I ask
Because you are all I need in a woman
One night stand.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Life goes on by Adejola Joseph
Life goes on
Live for today
And let tomorrow take care of itself
Life is fun
Don't hang somewhere being a sadist
Live life love life
Live to the fullest
Because life goes on.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Free me by Adejola Joseph
Free me
I want to be free
A bird in the air
A fish in the sea
A lion in the forest
A man on the soil
A cat in its track
I want to be free
So, free me
Freedom is priceless
Freedom is a gift
Freedom is joy
Freedom is heaven
Freedom is fun
I want to be free
So, free me
Free me like bondage is a chain
Free me like incarceration is a sin
Free me like a prisoner on parole
Free me like a game out of trap
Free me like a child out of the womb
Free me like water flowing from the stream
Free me like a goat out of the rope
Free me like a prophet on the mountain
Free me like a plane in the air
Free me like a ship on the sea
So, free me
I refused to be on the spot
I refused to stay on the spot
I am going to the promised land
Land flowing with milk and honey
So, free me.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Envy by Adejola Joseph
Envy
Sores of a leper
Injury of a bigot
Pollution of a fanatic
Sadness of a sadist
Sorrows of a misogynist
Conspiracy of a traitor
Envy
Envy is murderous
An envious person can destroy or damage anything good
Envy
Envy is a sword in the heart
Piercing the body and the soul
Envy
Never be envious no matter what
Because envy will push you to the desert where there is no water
Envy.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Blind by Adejola Joseph
Blind
Blind as bat I see
Hypocrites on every block
Where are we?
Who are we?
Blind.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Mask by Adejola Joseph
Mask
Where does it come from?
What?
Delusive rationality!
Are we out of mind?
Senses drained and dried?
No!
What do you capitalized on?
Neutral ambition?
Stop writhing in pain
It halts not the rod
Good ambition...lofty ideas
But...sees no sun
Because it's all masked!
It's all choked...
Brutally masked;
Dreamer ponders
Where do we go?
So much confusionist now on this solidity and compound mass!
Pitifully roaming the streets and cities
Beautiful faces all over the place
But... what?
Check the hearts
Wounded and scarred!
Why?
Because all aspiration and lofty dreams are masked!
My God! Oh! Oh! My God!
I see importation and exportation of internal emotions!
Gaunt flesh and long faces!
I am still fidgeting...
Shaking profusely
Pity- I pity them
Pathetic - I found them
Helpless - I see them
Trillions of hopeless "breathy" with enchanting unrealistic dreams!
Battalions of revolutionist with insufficient or non existent arsenals
They are tired!
Yes!
Weary!
Yes!
Loathsome!
Yes!
Intolerant!
Little touch streaming burst
I will slap you if you touch me.. reaction!
Who will help?
Under whose auspices
Would they find lingering hope?
Weak and frail
Fragile and suicidal!
Apocalypse is on the roof
Because all effort to freedom is masked
Mask I see despite the wailing
Struggles I see despite plenty
Moaning I see in the midst of profuse pleasure
Tainted hopes and unaided hands I see despite plenty
Irascible and copiously irking I am underwhelmingly soaked
My strength is sapped
I am little detailed on how to make a map of liberty
Fussed and confused I am
Perturbed and broken I am because all effort to come off the tunnel is... masked.

Adejola Joseph Poem
Demilade Ayomiposi Malia Joseph by Adejola Joseph an award winning poet. Author of Cracks On The Walls .
Demilade
Spring out of ocean
Water in the desert
My sweetest princess
You are the epitome of beauty
Virtuous than all the glamours of rubies
My daughter
My pearl
I love you so much
I love you.
