Jenna Bird Poem
Please be the one who:
Pick’s me up when I fall
And doesn’t care at all that I’m a mess
The one who kisses me in the rain
And holds me when I cry
The one who protects me from the world
But allows me to walk
Please be my guardian, my friend and my angel
Please be the one who laughs, lives and loves with me
Please be my everything

Jenna Bird Poem
It started as a raindrop
A seed inside my mind
Then turned into a little pond
It grows stronger by time
It evolved to a lake
It’s surface crystal clear
Then into a waterfall
A rushing in my ear
Then became a river
Running to the sea
But now it is an ocean
Roaring inside of me

Jenna Bird Poem
Was it a dream?
It felt so real
And yet so dreamlike
I could feel you
Your skin against my skin
Your lips against my face, my neck, my arms
But now you’re gone
Our bubble broke open
Disappeared just like that
And the moment was gone
Now I’m alone

Jenna Bird Poem
Ice through my veins
It’s crashing with the fire in my heart
Pumping fiercely when you look at me
Flames when you smile at me
Frozen when you smile at her
My friend
Now my enemy
The envy is taking over
All I can see is my friend
And the man that should have been mine
A scream stuck in my throat
Fire and ice
It’s going to kill me

Jenna Bird Poem
Flying through the night on you jet-black wings
Fly to me
Save me from the light that’s blinding me
Capture me in your warm arms
And wrap me in your shadows
Take me away
Away to your hidden palace of mystery
In the dark woods of obscurity
Save me
My dark angel

Jenna Bird Poem
I had a dream about you; I wish it would come true
I told you it was over, but still I’m not over you
You told me that you loved me
That it would be alright
You told me I was beautiful
The way I looked that night
We danced under the stars
We swam in the moonlit lake
But when you kissed my lips
I suddenly awake
The feeling I am left with is a little bittersweet
Because when I’m without you
I’m simply incomplete

Jenna Bird Poem
To my dear wizard
I truly thought I let you go
I put you in a box in my heart
Locked it
And threw the key away
I really tried to fight against the draw
But you’ve put an invisible silver chain around my neck
You keep me prisoner with your eyes
Whenever I think I escaped your spell
You pull me back into your arms
I’m not strong enough to keep fighting this battle
My mind tells me to run away
But my heart tells me otherwise
With one smile you break down every barrier
With one look you shatter every fortress
Once again you’ve bewitched me
My dear wizard

Jenna Bird Poem
Don’t come talk to me
Keep looking the other direction
Don’t even bother
We’re over anyway
Just stay there
Pretend that nothing happened
That you didn’t feel it too
The connection
We were perfect
So right
Meant to be
But you ran away
Just like a scared little boy
And if you can’t handle me at my worst
you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best

Jenna Bird Poem
You are my sun
When you leave my everyday is black
When the clouds cover you I’m miserable
And when you are shining again I’m blissful
You warm me up with you light
Whenever it’s raining inside of me you dry my tears away
When my heart is wintry and cold your flame brings life back into my eyes
Shine on my sun

Jenna Bird Poem
You do everything right except for the fact that you don’t do it to me that way
I love that look except for the fact that you don’t look at me that way
I tell you everything except for the fact that I’m in love with you
In my dreams I was the exception, your exception
But the truth is I’m not
And I’ll never be yours
For now I’m just another rule
