Hopelessly Lost

It's as if this love for her is an infectious disease
But I am still stubborn
To my heart's troublesome manners

Liquid bliss to my taste buds
I can only decay from the leak of her
I immerse myself daily in the thought of her
She is disgusted by my rage-full desires
Diligently I preserve my soul for her

I can only wish for her thoughts
And dream of her love's embrace
Countless hours of tears
As it rains upon my pillow
I swear, if it wasn't for this hopeless desire for her
I am hopelessly lost without her

One Day at A Time

Who could ask for anyone better?
If I were cold, you would bring a sweater without me asking
When I couldn't see, you were my bifocals so I could see your perfect form passing
How can I do it without ya?
Maybe I'll get my chance
Maybe I'll come up with the perfect words
Maybe my thoughts won't get distorted
Maybe I can't see she's only going to love me
Maybe it's time we see eye to eye sublime
Maybe I'll glance at the most divine woman I've ever known
Maybe she got the best of me
Maybe she'll give me the greatest love I've ever been shown
Maybe my supergirl will send me chills right to the bone
Maybe she is the dialect to my unorthodox text
Maybe I'm angry
Maybe I'm dead to her, invoking ill will not knowing
Or maybe it's like my mama told me,
I just need to take it one day at a time!

Mythological Lily

From now, until whenever,
She's just as clever
Divine and fine as wine
A dialect revived by queens and dutchesses
But a woman's heart is just as hard as a mason's arch
You are gonna need your library card
No more yielding to anything
Like my mythological lily or winged cupid
Distinguishing, but dreamy
Be gentle
Humble yourself to a mumble
But if we quarrel,
Do not reprehend.
If we break apart, I'll mend you!
I've got to be honest,
I need a tissue
I adore you
My mythological lily

What Can I Say

I hate to be dramatic right now,
But I have some words to get off my chest right now
I may be in a low place, felt like I lost or am losing dignity
But it's going to take the man in me to conquer the insanity
Maybe I'm jumping the gun,
Or an instrument for fantasy's imagination.
I'm at this time in my life where every left is a right
I just need someone to lend me their ears tonight
I fell asleep and awoke to the dark street with nothing to eat.
Will you be there for me?
Like I was there for you?
When you asked for one, I gave you two.
What can I say?
Well, I'm not the one to throw it back in your face.
What more can I say?
I just need a shoulder to cry on today!

Never Change

I'll never change the love I have for you
You never change your point of view,
Or why you do what you do
I'll never change my belief in you
You never change that look in your eyes
Thank God above
I'll never change that grin that drives you wild
You never change what is amazing
I'll never change, despite my circumstances
Never change.
My gift from heaven.

A Visionary's Vitality

Verily do I separate myself from her celestial face; seems thorough that symbolically setting the tune
For a ceremony of God's grace
Acting only by reacting to what's enate
As if I've been lifted skyward to God's plate
To rule over all that God's created
With a kiss from her lips
She seduces all man's passions
No should I miss your warming embrace
I've subdued my passions
A visionaries vitality

Catch Up

My mission is to make you see out loud
And understand, my means are to open your mind's eye
I must reach you to teach you the nature at hand
Every cup that's filled, it's a must that you sip
And if the rules ain't bent don't bend them
I just want you to keep ya nose clean
Life is a bumpy road, and it's not always what it seems
Just keep your head up and stack ya bread
Do not stop, by any means. Get that cream
 And most of all...
 Catch up with a C

Only One

They never told me the truth
Always led me wrong
So why should I believe,
That this white man would be the only one to show me the way home?
And I'm supposed to remember the Alamo?
When power is is measured truly by how many guns you have
Toil or band that's due; I'm not the only one to see
Through the bands of smoke
How many fans would go in the firery flame for you?
Or I will only see when the time comes for me.
2 divided by 1 equals leave me, this number 4 means,
Only 1 you see

Alone

Home is where everything has a place
Alone is where I sat; excluded with nothing left to say
When past transgressions stains my shirt,
No malice I can compare to one's faith
I have no way to clean what has been soiled
Nor can I iron them away
Or take thy sobering morality
Like pain behind my eyes it is.
It seems that night's opinion or desire,
As if sun's light would dawn on me
In hell's driveway I sit pounding
How do I find my way back?
To that which makes my heart frolic
Alone I sat. I can't feed this unfavorable soul to myself
Numbing oneself; this hole that I have dug myself
Alone

Just the Two of Us

All we needed was us
Thanks for being the one I could trust
When time passed, our love didn't rust
The only one that's been there since comb and brush
I'll be the only one true as the sun
I swear; my loves since birth
Till ash to ash and dust to dust
Just the two of us
