Woes

All the people I have left behind
All the faces I have left red

I am not as I used to be
Something has changed

I fear what will happen in the near future
What else will re-birth

As the songs of sorrow pass by
as I leave behind

The faces I have grown so fond of
The faces I have loved for so long

They all seem to fade
to pass away

Pass away
I will miss you, Scott

You will forever be in my heart

A Place

I have a place
       for secrets
I have a place
       for love
I have a place
       for hopes
       for dreams
I have a place
       for voices
       waiting
       to be heard
I have a place
       for peace
I have a place
       for anger
       for humor
       for fear

I Have a Place For Places
             A Place Inside My Heart

9-11

Screaming filled the horrified air
The most horrified sound came from above
The jets, the screaming, the daunt faces
As the crash of the once beautiful Twin Towers filled the air tears of anger and regret
made a river of sorrow
All of this in the eyes of a child
Just beginning to learn the ways of the world

Banshee

In the dead of night he lets out a scream
A scream so fierce it sends shivers down your spine
Run, run, or he will call you "Mine"
      You run run little child
       He is nothing but wild
      Watch where you are going
       Dare not fall
      Beware of caves
They are nothing to shelter in
You will be nothing but blocked by a wall
      Just run little child
      Trust anyone
      Or no one
      Don't blink
      Don't think
      Just keep running
      Run 'till daylight
       Once the world is light
       Thy may stop
      Catch up on your rest
       Or he will be best
       In the dead of night
For he is nothing but a Banshee

11

11 is just a number
what it stands for has no meaning either
a child said "I want to be 11" and his mother said "But your 6"
          11 is just a number

theres this 11 year old kid, and he walks into the supermarket-
he gets stopped, "How old are you?" the security guard asks, the boy answers "11"-
and is forced out of the store
          11 is just a number

As the Mockingbird Cries

As life goes by
We see the colors
We see the colors, we feel the colors, we taste the colors
You come into the world
A world of colors
An explosion perhaps, if you may
Colors
So much to do
As our limited days shorten by every tick of a second
We live a life
Something difficult and strange to do
But for what?
To alas fall in the end a make others weep?
There is a purpose
A purpose for everything
But we find the purpose of "life"
In our few breathing moments
As the mockingbird cries
Our colors fade

Love

Love is a song
           a melody to your heart
      Love is a roller-coaster
           full of twists and turns
           sometimes frightening
           sometimes fun
      Love is a connection
           stays awhile
           then dissapear's
           into the air
           landing on someone else

                               Love Is Anything and Everything

Invatations

The sun sinks behind the golden clouds
inviting moon
The blackness moon brings inviting creatures
Creatures of imagination
Creatures too terrifying to meet eyes
The creatures inviting the screams, the roars

The sounds inviting the running legs
Of human beings
As cars are crushed and souls fall dead

The sun regains it place in the marble-blue sky
And in the dim Twilight
The creatures run to their secret place
The secret place of wonder
Of imagination

As the brightness escalades
All is silent
As children open their eyes

I Am Not

I am not the Countryside
       drowned in whispers of sorrow
I am not the Great Owl
silenced in the cloak of darkness
I am not the Moon
       one single pale eye
       watching over all
I am not Fierce River
        roaring roars of anger
I am not the Racoon
        intruder to all
I am not a lot of things-
but most of all-
i am not this "I Am Not" poem- saying things I am not

Be the Best

Be the best that you can be-
    Don't try to be me
You are the only one that can accomplish the things YOU wish
You wanna' catch a fish, go ahead and catch a fish!
   You can accomplish anything feel
Don't just gaze at that lousy ol' reel
   Be real!
     Go catch that fish!
   That dish can wait!
There's only one thing that wait-
     Your self-respect and goals
