Words mean nothing
As we've come to know
That's why I've waited until now
To let my feelings show
For you I would have gave my life
To have you as my bride
But somehow I feel life was not enough
As you were asking for my pride
So for now I still love you
As I always will
Though not in love but love you
This way I'll always feel
For you the thoughts i have no longer
Move my heavens above
The way they did back then
When we were in love.

I have come to know
I thought I'd write a little poem
Just so I could show
To you i wish the very best
in love and life
And all the rest
But not just for this year
Or the next
This I'd wish you never
For what I wish is happiness
To last you both forever.

Mother mother
You are to me
All things good that life can be
This love of life
You gave to me
Then let me love it
Left me to see
The path I would choose
To go on my own
You held in your feelings
And left me alone
The person I was
The person I am
You gave me my youth
Because your my best mam
Forgive me my mam
For the years that we've lost
I should have been home
No matter the cost
So I write you this poem
To say thanks and say sorry
For over the years
For the stress and the worry
That I put you through
I write this with love
and I write this for you
My best mam,
