The Angels Came

June twenty -first Nineteen eighty-nine
Your father proudly proclaims
This baby girl is mine

Life was never dull with you around
Hope, love and sadness
Could always be found

Family to you was number one
You proved to us many times
The way you raised your son

You battled demons and won the fight
With family and friends
Your future was in sight

The Angels came on Valentines Day
A massive stroke your last fight
February sixteenth they led you away

Go now my beautiful niece
Be with Grandma and Papa
Pain is gone now Rest in Peace

Why I fell for you

Silky black hair, eyes so blue.
I get goosebumps being with you
A smile that makes the room so bright
My dreams of you all through the night

The laughter that brightens up your face
Being with you my heart starts to race
The wings behind you on the wall
The angelic features that say it all

The charm and charisma soot you best
You are leaps and bounds above the rest
The moral standards you hold so true
These are the reasons I fell for you

Sat and talked all night

We sat and talked all through the night
Your heart and mind in a confusing fight
Heart says you love him, your mind says why
Your heart says hard to explain so please just try

Heart says his eyes say a lot, he has emotional layers
Mind says wake up, smell the coffee, he’s just a player
Heart says but I love him, I can’t let him go
Mind says he’s a player and time will show

We sat and we talked, you became sad
Confusion swept over you, you should be mad
He came back after silence for 6 long weeks
The confusion is what does he seek

We sat and we talked, and you asked why
Then you sat there and began to cry
I shed a tear with you tonight
Your Pain is my pain, I can’t make this right

Goodbye

Water leaking from my eye
The time has come to say goodbye
Thirty-five years you smiled so bright
God called you home for eternal life

Compassion and the love that you share
Beyond what most could begin to compare
You left behind family and friends
But your memory is one to never end

Time grows near

Did you ever feel your heart break and begin to cry
Sit Back my friends and I’ll tell you why
A friendship developed, beautiful like fresh fallen snow
Then she says soon she will go

You always knew this day would be here
Until this moment you did not know it was near
So you sit in the dark, and tears fill your eyes
You try and accept she will soon say goodbye

Try to imagine life without her in my daily life
Days will be long, and sadness will fill my nights
I will cherish the memories and good times we had
But will it be enough to not be so sad

They say hold on to memories and cherish the dreams
But My love for her makes me want to scream
I wish with all my heart she did not have to go
And may the time we have left will go by slow

Nika, I will always love you with all my heart
You truly grabbed my soul right from the start
Every day we have been together life has been dream
Please don’t forget me and listen for my scream.

I LOVE YOU MY FRIEND

Why am I still here

Sitting on my couch TV on
Nothing on, don’t even care
I take a drink of water
I am now grasping for air

Run to my wife hands to my throat
Fear in my eyes, what do I do
She sits me down, calls 911
Quick as a flash I’m in ICU

Pneumonia is what they say I had
The water pushed phlegm to my lungs
My throat got blocked
The results were bad

The room across the hall
His light turns blue
Nurses and Drs run to his side
Damn, this could have been you

The scene goes quiet, not even a sound
The Drs and nurses standing around
Once again I am faced with the question
Why does GOD keep me around

Not ready to say goodbye

At a loss. know not what to do
Not ready to say goodbye to you
Talked online for over a year
Became good friends, I love so dear

Sometimes we talked all through the night
We brought our inner souls to light
We shared secrets only each had known
Our love as friend has really grown

Our friendship has grown and I know it's real
Though sometimes I feel that its no big deal
Given time this friendship could grow
you know the saying "Time will Show"

FRIENDS

Fond memories shared to the end of time
Remember the good times and the bad
Interesting stories of our childhood past
Endless time but not forgotten
No longer together, ageless
Don’t let go
Sadly end

Snow plow man

Driving along steel on the road
look in the mirror
salt falls from my load

Moving just as swift as I can
Look at me
I'm the snow plow man

Snow piles high as it moves off my plow
push back corners
the kids scream WOW

working round the clock all through the night
Clearing the roads
With determination an might

Road to road as fast as I can
Look at me
I'm the snow plow man

The First time I saw her

I remember the first time I saw her
Yes I really do
I could not take my eyes off you
My mind completely blurred

Her hair was so silky
Her face, shiny and bright
I don't believe I can honesty say
I've seen a more beautiful sight

I don't really know you
Hope someday I do
I'll remember you always
my whole life through

Her eyes seem to sparkle
Her skin seemed to glow
you are that special someone
I'd really like to know

Her eyes seem to sparkle
Her skin seemed to glow
your memory will be with me
wherever I my go
