Notes About The Poem

Diedicated to my beautiful Niece

June 21, 1989 - February 16, 2025

Fly High my girl RIP

The Angels Came

June twenty -first Nineteen eighty-nine
Your father proudly proclaims
This baby girl is mine

Life was never dull with you around
Hope, love and sadness
Could always be found

Family to you was number one
You proved to us many times
The way you raised your son

You battled demons and won the fight
With family and friends
Your future was in sight

The Angels came on Valentines Day
A massive stroke your last fight
February sixteenth they led you away

Go now my beautiful niece
Be with Grandma and Papa
Pain is gone now Rest in Peace

Hello Kenneth, this is a very heartfelt and touching write. So sorry about your loss. I have recently lost a nephew who was in his prime. I take comfort that I still have his love and memories as company. Sending prayers your way, fellow poet.

It appears after sending this to my nieces mother, there may be some confusion. Yes She battled her demons an d with the help of friends and family won those battles.. However her last battle was a massive stroke. She did not take her meds. I just could not figure a way to incorporate that into my thoughts

Kenneth Deepest condolences on losing your nice ! In the poem you remind us all,,,that this could happen to us as well. Syddenly, we lose those we cherish. I do believe in heaven, and am sure she will meet you again. as a poet is welcome to read something so honest and touching snd not written for a trophy or a prize ! But I will FAV because you are honest I love that about you. God be with you and your great niece. Love Pangie bb
