A Snowflake’s Journey

A simple snowflake small and white
Fell so gracefully in the night
Quiet and peaceful was the little street
And I knew the next day there'd be a child to meet

The next morning I woke with the wonderful news
It was a snow day, the kids would say woohoo!
She came out and played in the cold soft snow
And there was me saying hello

I played with that girl all day long
She set me with the others where I belong
She made us a snowman, small to hold
And like that we played out in the cold

Soon the day was over and I truly did know
That everything ends especially snow
So quietly I said good bye, as not to let her hear
And finally succumbed to my greatest fear

But to my surprise, that wasn't the end
The next day came and my dear little friend
Yet spring came fast and my time was gone
I melted into that bright green lawn

But unknown to me it didn't end there
I seeped into the mud I guess somewhere
And my journey continued, it wasn't done
I still had much to do, a lot of fun

I dripped down into a sea of plants and fish
Yet being a snowflake was my greatest wish
And again I transformed into mist this time
Up high to the clouds I slowly climbed

As a cloud I drifted up to the North
And there I found again my worth
Suddenly I felt cold once more
And became a snowflake as I was before

So I went through the cycle as everyone does
An adventure I knew it truly was
And my cycle I had to once again start
And I knew a snowflake was a work of art

Rudolph’s Broken Leg

On just a small rehearsal flight
Reindeer Rudolph gave us a fright
He took a tumble and when he fell
He broke a leg, The boss we must tell

Oh how shall we fix this problem
Normally we’d go without him
But this year it is going to storm
And snow will be coming, it’s not warm

But Santa had a solution
To get us through the pollution
We taped a light to Dasher’s plain nose
And watched the sleigh and said, “There he goes!”

Lost

Oh my dearest where o where have you gone
Please don’t be as far that I won’t find you
I lost you and then found you like a pawn
But you have found again a place anew

In shadows I’ll search all day for your love
It’s a gamble though I’ll willingly take
If it means a sweet kiss down from above
Yet until I find you my heart shall ache

I’ll fight to the end if I’ll get you back
My heart wishes for your voice in my ear
You have the courage to speak which I lack
You make my doubts leave and fill me with cheer

I beg you come back if I have one plead
When you’re lost to me I still need your lead

To You Who Are Lost

Oh my dear where o where have you gone
Please not as far as where I won’t ever find you
I lost you before and now again like the dawn
But you have found yet again a place anew

In the shadows I’ll scavenge all day for your love
It’s a gamble though one that I’ll willingly take
If it means a sweet kiss descending from above
And until I finally find you my heart shall ache

I’ll fight to the end if it means having you back
My heart forever yearns for your voice in my ear
You have the courage to speak which I often lack
You make my doubts vanish and fill me with cheer

So I beg you come back if I have just one plead
When your lost to me I’m lost without your lead

Perfect Strangers

I don’t recall that first splendid moment
Our meeting point is unknown to my mind
I can still bring to thought your lovely scent
Two perfect strangers so sublime

But I have a life so no more of this
I beg you to please leave me and forget
On just a whim we discovered that bliss
We must remain perfect strangers that met

I’m sorry for the pain that I cause you
All the tears shed for not hearing from me
Cause truly I hoped for a love anew
Yet we must stay perfect strangers sadly

I am sorry for not showing my face
A stranger I will be with not a trace
