Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Relationships can be good.
They can be also bad.
You hope they would.
Sometimes not be sad.
Don't let anyone call you dumb.
They don't know the rule of thumb.
If you are hurting and trying.
You need let it go; crying.
If a friend calls you a name.
Then you may feel like doing the same.
People can be mean.
They seem to be full of green. (Envy)
If someone calls you dumb or stupid.
Maybe they ought to call cupid.
They ought to know when things end bad.
They should be a support for you and not let you be sad.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be unconditional.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be inspirational.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be between 2 people.
Love, what is love?
It is hopefully leading you to the steeple. (church)
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be growing old together.
Love, what is love?
It is any storm you go through should be withered.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be there together and not be a bother.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be uplifting to each other.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to be your best friend.
Love, what is love?
It is supposed to last till the end.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
The sadness I feel inside,
asking why didn't you help me fix it.
The sadness I try to hide on the outside.
When our marriage went bad.
The sadness that doesn't seen to end.
I can't get over losing you my friend.
I thought you were love,
that God sent from above.
Losing you was difficult to get through.
The hardest thing was losing you.
We used to be so in sync.
It seems now more like a roller rink.
The sadness I feel inside,
like losing myself outside.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
My sister is
like a twister.
She turns around
to avoid hitting the ground.
She is happy
and avoids being slappy.
She keeps being nice,
so there isn't any price.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Your Heart
When you give your heart away.
Make sure to give it to the right one.
Don't let anyone jumble you around,
It hurts when you give it away.
The person you give it to doesn't care.
Your Heart
When you give your heart away.
Make sure you keep your guard up.
Don't let anyone play with it.
Don't let it become all jumbled up.
Place it with the right person.
Who will take care of it.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Today I received a card from an old friend.
Always thought we be till the end.
However, things had changed that we can't be.
I don't understand why some people things work out for.
While other's it doesn't always.
I tried to hurt myself several years ago,
no I don't want to now. I just don't understand why it always worked out for m y friend. She has everything she wants. She even wanted to cheat on her husband with an ex. I told her not to. I stopped being friends with her, due to it seemed like she was different. I couldn't even imagine her wanted to talk with that ex of her's again. I guess it seems like hurting and betray always makes me feel down.
I don't know what to do. I forgive the people who hurt me, but I have also had to walk away from their friendship due they still wanted my ex in their lives. So I left that group.
Not sure if it was the right thing to do, but I couldn't handle being around him anymore. So and there were lies to between some friends. Why does everything good happen to her even though these things happened that was done to me.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
It is better to give then receive.
Giving you help others.
Receiving is nice.
Giving is better to make sure others have what they need.
This is the time of the year.
We all need to give to others who are hurting.
When things don't always work out, it is better to give then
receive. Helping others can make you feel better.
Loving each other and helping is better than receiving gifts.
God called us to all love each other.
Even give to a stranger who doesn't have much.
It is better go give then received. We should not be selfish and not help others, when we can. This is that time of year, but it should be all year through.
It is better to give then receive.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
My Hurt,
My Hurt seems to still be there.
It is almost 15 years ago it happened.
I usually like to help people.
This one time, changed the way I am today!
My Hurt,
I was asked on Facebook to help someone.
I went over there thinking there wife was there.
Wrong, he sexually assaulted me.
My trust, dignity and identity disappeared.
My Hurt,
I ask why was I the one hospitalized?
Why wasn't he. He was the one who needed it.
I do forgive after all these years.
He played games and tormented me.
This was before blocking, and reporting.
My Hurt,
I keep asking why me?
What did I do to deserve it.
Stay safe when you agree to help someone.
Please head my story. It changed me forever.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Feeling sad and blue.
Who knew it would be true.
Years ago, it happened.
So long ago, I was near the end.
The assault hurted me, wondering what did I do?
Because of him I can't be me or with you.
I wish I could change it.
Then I wouldn't have be inside and sit.
I try to trust again, not know if there is one.
Otherwise sometimes I feel like saying I am done.
I just hold it with in my soul.
Knowing someday it will go.
Please if someone asks you.
Be sure you stay safe and do.
Helping others isn't what it used to be.
Sometimes I feel like hanging like a monkey in a tree.

Charlene Gibson-Hernes Poem
Memories of 1987, wondering what happened to the friends.
Thought we were friends till the end.
People began splitting up,
to take it to the next level in a pick up truck.
All the fun was gone.
It was all done.
Found my best friend with someone I thought I loved.
I learned it wasn't from above.
Time to grow up and get on our own.
Lives changed and we knew it and live to the bone.
Getting first jobs,
watching out for the snobs.
Living in a new path,
wondering about the rath.
Time for a change.
It felt very strange.
