Vigil Woods Poem
I'm down on the ground,
My brain starts to pound,
It may not be fun,
But ten seconds aren't done.
10 seconds remain.
I still have time,
To arise again,
The timer hasnt hit ten,
Time isn't my friend,
8 seconds remain.
I punch hard, I kick,
I choke, I feel sick.
I try to yell, over the incessant chants,
This is the last time, my last chance.
Five seconds remain.
I call out, my plight.
I never wanted this fight.
I press up with all my might,
I feel progress, my eyes are losing their light.
Three seconds remain.
It all hurts, to breathe,
Under my worst foe, I am beneath.
For it is no human, it's within me.
I need to get up, to be free.
But it isn't over, I can win,
I push against that evil twin,
The sadness loses hold, I can get up.
One second remains.

Vigil Woods Poem
I want to be a rockstar!
With a house and a fancy car!
And to have tons of money!
Maybe even a private jet for me!
To be rich and not care!
To have suits to wear!
I have so many things to do,
Wait what about you?
I just want to run, far away.
I just want to survive, another day.
I just want to have someone, who cares.
I just want to sleep, without nightmares.
I just want to wake up and not be sad.
I just want to have a birthday, and be glad.
I just want someone to love me,
All I want, is to be happy.

Vigil Woods Poem
She waits in a dream.
Stone clouds hang motionless, swallowing a star.
Millions of dull green blades dance to a false wind.
Dead flowers dot the horizon—
patches of absolute nothing.
How can a flower be void?
How can a sky be still?
Across the fields there is nothing.
A perfect array of lies.
Yet someone walks.
Her feet brush the grass, but it does not bend.
Her clothes refuse the wind.
Only her hair stirs.
Dark eyes, dark hair.
Pale skin, pale clothes.
She smiles, though I do not know her.
How can I miss someone I have never met?
Still, she smiles.
She waits in a dream.

Vigil Woods Poem
I look at your eyes
they are soft and warm.
Your arms hold me
hidden from the storm.
I can't have you.
Your laugh and smile
it's contagious.
I love this chemistry
the love between us.
I... can't have you.
You're the detective,
finding each clue.
I'm the mystery,
you can't see through.
I can't... have you.
To feel those lips
rest upon my own,
To let the world
leave us alone.
I can't...
Why.
Why can't I have you?
Is it you?
Is it me?
Or the world
between.

Vigil Woods Poem
To all my friends and family,
The ones who search to find me.
They look in the beautiful trees.
They look in the rooms I call comfy.
But that's not where I am.
That's not who I am.
They look in the corners of a library.
They look in the crowds of parties.
They look in the mountain breeze.
They look in the waves of the seas.
I love all these things.
But they are not what make me.
Tell me, friend. Do you want to find me?
Look in the gangs where I bleed.
Where the homeless lack company.
Where the faithless are angry.
Where the children are lonely.
Where the violent reign free.
There is where I will be,
As long as my heart beats.

Vigil Woods Poem
Dreamers are the worst.
They promise you the world,
When they don't have their own.
Dreamers never keep their word.
Never long-term.
They never see tomorrow.
Tomorrow.
Dreamers hope for better than they have.
But they never understand the path.
Of pain.
Dreamers are so often alone.
All banished from home.
The same.
Dreamers will all one day die.
The hopeless lay beside.
Lost there.
Dreamers never get finality.
Could they understand reality?
Nightmare.
Dreamers smile and cry.
Swept by a bloody tide.
Shark.
Dreamers are the worst.
I am left with nothing.
