I can't

I look at your eyes
they are soft and warm.
Your arms hold me
hidden from the storm.

I can't have you.

Your laugh and smile
it's contagious.
I love this chemistry
the love between us.

I... can't have you.

You're the detective,
finding each clue.
I'm the mystery,
you can't see through.

I can't... have you.

To feel those lips
rest upon my own,
To let the world
leave us alone.

I can't...

Why.

Why can't I have you?

Is it you?

Is it me?

Or the world

between.
