Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
My dear Mama, oh so dear,
A mother true, always near.
From childhood's dawn till present day,
You guided us, showed the way.
With "Sugar Boy" by your side,
Together you led, with love and pride.
To "Oko Eti-ose" and "Oko Okuku" farms,
We trekked, with loaded arms.
The roads were long, the loads were heavy,
I cried, but you helped me be brave.
Coming home, with weary feet,
You soothed my tears, made our hearts meet.
With meager pay, as teacher true,
You and "Sugar Boy" saw us through.
Education's doors, you opened wide,
Degrees acquired, our futures inside.
In pain, you helped; in need, you gave,
Ensuring food, a roof to save.
Your partnership, a shining light,
Taught me teamwork, day and night.
You and Papa, a perfect pair,
United, selfless, beyond compare.
No difference, in love and care,
You both showed us, how to share.
May your days be long and bright,
Filled with joy, love's warm light.
We recognize, your sacrifices grand,
Thank you, dear Mama, hand in hand.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
Some attribute their breath to nature's sway
Their restroom visits, a natural way
They trust their sleep, an inbuilt alarm to wake
But I, with years of wisdom, know fate's uncertain make
Not all who sleep awaken, nor all who use the loo
Return unscathed, for danger lurks, both old and new
But I, a humble soul, attribute my life's design
To the Maker of the universe, the Author of my rhyme
My talents, skills, and abilities, all gifts from above
My writing, a reflection of His endless, boundless love
The food I eat, the water I drink, the air I breathe
All sustenance from His hand, a daily, merciful deed
The car I ride, the roads I walk, all fraught with peril's might
Yet I, a grateful heart, acknowledge His guiding light
For some have fallen, devoured by life's hungry, savage way
But I, a thankful soul, give praise, come what may
Unto my Maker, I acknowledge and confess
My life, a gift from Him, a treasure to possess
May His name be praised, forever and always
The Maker of the universe, my heart's eternal praise.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
You shine so bright, a beacon of hope,
A radiant beauty, my soul's eternal scope.
Supportive and loving, through all life's strife,
My partner, my friend, my forever wife.
No regrets in choosing you, my heart's desire,
Together we share, love's sacred fire.
Our finances, one, no secrets untold,
Transparency's bond, our love forever to hold.
In my absence, home remains warm and sweet,
Your care, a haven, where love retreats.
You excel in wife and motherly roles,
A virtuous woman, with a loving soul.
Delicious meals, crafted with loving care,
Your culinary skills, beyond compare.
From a good home, your values shine,
A treasure, my Jewel, forever mine.
Academically, your support shines bright,
Encouraging me, through day and night.
Romantic cuddles, a love so true,
Your bosom, my comfort zone, forever anew.
I cherish you, now and forevermore,
My Jewel, my joy, my heart's greatest score.
You make life richer, with every passing day,
Forever grateful, in every loving way.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
In Africa's heart, a giant lies,
Nigeria, blessed with riches that surprise,
Petroleum, gold, and califonium's might,
Lead, iron, bitumen, and limestone's sight.
But amidst this wealth, a paradox we find,
Lovely people suffer, while leaders' greed entwines,
Abject penury, a constant, gnawing fate,
While politicians milk public funds, an unborn generation's weight.
Foolishness, indeed, to hoard and not to share,
As children, women, men, and youth die, with no one to care,
In stampedes, they scramble for crumbs from philanthropists' hands,
A nation's shame, in every corner, where food is shared, they stand.
Who will rescue us from predators, who prey and exploit?
From leaders, who, with impunity, our future destroy and loot?
Of late, tens of children and women died, in a desperate bid to eat,
Their cries, a haunting echo, that our conscience cannot beat.
Women wake, with hopelessness, their children's future unsure,
Are our youth lazy? Our men idle? No, their daily toil, a story untold,
Their income, a meager sum, that cannot meet their demands,
A giant of Africa? Ah, what a mockery, what a sham, what a stand!

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
In sorrow's dark and lonely night,
Have you lost loved ones, or labored in vain for light?
Has joy's sweet melody been shattered by life's unseen hand?
Fear not, dear heart, for hope's sweet balm is at your command.
Injustice's chains have bound you tight,
Unjustly jailed, and suffering for another's plight.
Love's sweet deceit has left you torn,
And family's troubles weigh upon your heart forlorn.
Rejection's sting has pierced your soul,
Failure's label clings, and fears make you whole.
But don't be swayed, dear heart, for success is near,
And goodness, though unreciprocated, will ultimately clear.
Fired, forsaken, and forgotten, you wander alone,
A poor man's voice, drowned out by the crowd's cold stone.
Evil's repayment for your love's pure heart,
Don't stop your goodness, for it will never depart.
What's meant to be will be, no force can alter fate's design,
Though delayed, joy will arrive, and lost glory will entwine.
Why succumb to life's complexities, and contemplate the darkest night?
Why surrender to negativity's grasp, and consider the final, fatal fight?
Guard yourself, relax, and rejoice, for the cross's burden will soon pass,
And in its wake, a brighter dawn will rise, and forever last.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
Eldorado
In Sokoto's land of ancient pride,
A miracle unfolded, your birth inside,
A mother's vision of a daughter dear,
Yet, fate's design wove a different thread, a boy appear.
God's blessings flow like a river wide,
Unfathomable, His wisdom does reside,
No mortal mind can grasp His divine plan,
A mystery that guides the course of life's span.
Your early days, a test of parental might,
Terror gripped their hearts, a fragile light,
Your silence, a concern that would not cease,
A nocturnal journey to the clinic's release.
The doctor's words, a balm to soothe their soul,
The humidity and heat, a temporary role,
Your growth, a tapestry of wonder and might,
A treasure trove of laughter, a heart alight.
Your smile, a radiant sun that lights the way,
A thriller that captivates, come what may,
Eldorado, a son of promise, a shining star,
May your days be long, your journey near and far.
Happy birthday, dear son, may this day be bright,
A celebration of life, a wondrous delight.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
We, the freeborn, born to be free,
Yet shackled by chains of mental slavery,
We sought knowledge in hallowed halls of learning,
But found ourselves lost in labyrinths of yearning.
Western wisdom wooed us with siren's call,
Luring us from our heritage, our ancestral wall,
Intuitive analysis, a double-edged sword,
Cutting through certainties, leaving us scarred and poor.
We thought education's light would set us free,
But depression's dark wings enveloped humanity,
Graduation's promise, a mirage on the horizon's frame,
Our certificates, mere paper, unable to reclaim.
We sought solace in places of worship's sacred space,
But found confusion's veil, obscuring the divine face,
Religious leaders, twisting truth to suit their creed,
Leaving us lost, in a wilderness of doubt and need.
But still we yearn, for freedom's elusive dream,
To break the chains, that bind our inner scheme,
To rise above, the noise, the pain, the fear,
To find the freedom, that only our hearts can hear.
For true freedom lies, not in external chains,
But in the inner mind, where our deepest selves remain,
It's a journey inward, through the labyrinth of our soul,
To confront the shadows, and make our hearts whole.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
At night, death's dark whisper resounds
Chasing dreams, with bloody sweat unbound
Awakened by fear, his heart does pound
Beholding death's spirit, all around
By day, sleep flees, a rare reprieve
For he has slain it, with restless grief
A little slumber, a shout of doom
Forever haunted, a troubled tomb
Through "Baba Gbonka's" dark, deceitful gate
He sought wealth's shortcut, a fatal weight
Riches accrued, but health did flee
Mansions built, yet comfortless, he'll be
Luxury furniture, a hollow pride
Restricted to a mat, where he must reside
Strangers receive his charitable hand
But relatives, a forbidden land
Conditioned to spend, with daily strife
No peace, until his target meets life
Marriage yes, but children, a denied bliss
What's affluence without peace, but an empty kiss?
Who shall inherit all his earthly gain?
To what account, when his soul's laid to rest in pain?
The scripture says, "Godliness with contentment's the gain"
A truth he forgot, in wealth's vain, hallow reign

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
My body's not a stone, unyielding and cold
Nor is it wood, unfeeling, and old
It's flesh and blood, with needs that must be met
Rest and relaxation, to rejuvenate and reset
Don't be a slave to labor, toiling ceaselessly
For when you're gone, your efforts will be but a memory
Those you've worked for, will call you a fool, in death
For neglecting your own needs, and sacrificing your last breath
Find solace in leisure, and joy in life's delight
Savor the fruits of your labor, before the darkness of night
Take a sip of wine, let music move your soul
Dance and merry, let your spirit be made whole
Don't hoard treasures, you'll never live to enjoy
Be moderate, and decisive, let wisdom be your employ
Let go of hatred, and malice, for they'll bring you pain
And lead to heart attacks, and a life of regret and strain
Life's short, enjoy it, while you may
Do good, create impact, but don't overdo, come what may
Consider your health, and your maker, in all you do
For a life of balance, is a life that's true.

Philip Abayomi Olorunfemi Poem
Ephaphta, a name that whispers secrets divine,
"Be opened," it echoes, a promise intertwined.
A gateway to abundance, a portal to delight,
You've unlocked bounty opportunities, shining with new light.
The twins Estevan and Estefan, a double blessing from above,
A testament to your openness, a labor of endless love.
Your rising star, a celestial wonder to behold,
Will spring forth, radiant and bright, never to grow old.
Happy birthday, dear Ephaphta, may your days be long and bright,
Filled with laughter, joy, and love, a celestial delight.
May your name continue to unfold its promise and might,
Guiding you toward a future shining with hope and light.
