Wendy Stein Poem
She seeks her enlightenment with hunger like a wolf
Trapped in a sacred bubble shrinking with licked wounds
Pushing out the people once vital now twice pierced
With the absence of the presence and the love now just a breadth
Of the time she spent asking mother am I empty?
Fill my spirit forthright with the love I thought I dreamt
For this life is temporary and the time is scarce
And all I dare to do is take your eyes and gouge
Trying to remove your truth and glean mine obliged
You will not waver and even blind I feel the warmth
I will stop you with my fear and my anger and my prompts
How dare you love me wrongly as we live in different worlds
Mother do you love me; are you gone and now an angel?
I am never gone my dear though you thought me a monster

The yellow cat sits
Staring at the bird outside
Contemplating lunch

huddling under branches
waiting for sunshine

Wendy Stein Poem
Insatiable shadows
senselessly seeking
spiritual sainthood.
Stealing……….
shiny symbols
staged senses
swaggering sanities.
Insurmountable sorrow.

Wendy Stein Poem
She skates along the edge of sanity.
The line between disaster and divine.
Heart now tasting the inhumanity,
without the lonely sip of the sweet wine.
Digging whilst drowning the depths of darkness,
rummaging righteousness religiously.
God bleeding sunshine into her starkness,
pruning the soul hath lost prodigiously.
Placing the lotus seed into the earth,
seed splicing and spiraling down and up.
She senses the sprouts swaying, giving birth,
spilling atop the ground below the cup.
Watering new life, soaking up the ground.
Flower below the earth, above the mound.

Wendy Stein Poem
biting
into the peach
flesh flailing
in my mouth
crawling inside
melting meat
swallowing sin
feeling it float
further down
pit seeking
sweet sound
vast vibration
roots roaring
up and down
through the ground
picking the peach
squeezing
silky
sustenance
sinking teeth
spirit found

Wendy Stein Poem
Heaven and Hell are spaces in our mind
Precious real estate taking us over
Seeking consolation never to find
Through senses deceptively hence smolder
Stagnant in solitude, whisper’s wonder
Soothing the sixth sense over senseless thought
Selfishly satisfying we blunder
Can’t purchase the key God already bought
The stretching gate constant thus not snapping
Twisting down earth ravenous for relief
Stabbing stars enraging the napping
Lusting on the ever looping belief
The gate to our hell our mind inside locks
Keys burning our hands as God again knocks
