Ailsa Wright Poem
In times where you feel,
that life is tangled in distress,
Remember, our richest lessons gained
are never aquired through success.
But through the trials that we bear,
Undesired dreams and lost battles fought,
The place our resilience lies raw and rare,
where our truest strengths are taught.
Seek comfort in the knowing,
no matter what we may face
Is growing who we are,
setting our views into place.
What's destined in our path,
won't slip by , or go a miss
So on days that feel most bleak,
Believe it won't always be like this.

Ailsa Wright Poem
I'm sorry, You see
To my three beautiful boys
I'm sorry, you see
Mum's not quite been the same lately
But I promise I'm getting better
I owe it to both you and me
To my family and friends
I'm sorry, you see
If I've ignored calls and texts
I know it's only because you care for me
But some days it's been a struggle just to function and think lately
To anyone who relates to this
I'm sorry, you see
But I hope you understand even the strongest struggle sometimes
Be it anyone, even you or me

Ailsa Wright Poem
They say change is easy,
a breeze, a flow,
If done their way,
a path they already know.
But they haven't walked your miles,
felt the sting,
Of trying everything,
Yet still not taking wing.
They haven't tasted failure,
the bitter pill,
Of dreams unfurling,
then standing still.
They haven't known the struggle,
the uphill climb,
Of pushing through the darkness,
one step at a time.
So let their words fall light,
like feathers on a breeze,
For they haven't walked your path,
haven't felt your knees.
Buckled under the weight,
of a fight they haven't known.
A battle fought in silence,
a battle fought alone.
You've given everything a go,
no matter what the cost,
Had courage to keep on trying,
even when you felt lost.
For even in the struggle,
strength is found.
A resilience that whispers,
"I will rise from the ground".
So hold your head high,
let their words fade away.
You've walked your own path
and that's enough to say.
For the journey you've taken,
the battles you've faced,
Have shaped you, defined you,
a spirit embraced.
And one day, when they stumble,
their path unclear,
They'll remember your strength,
your unwavering cheer.
And realise that change, for some,
is a steeper climb,
A journey of resilience,
one step at a time.

Ailsa Wright Poem
On days where life feels too heavy,
Just needing a wee break from home,
I seek solace along the coast of the Solway Firth,
A natural place of beauty, I love to endlessly roam.
Walking along the dark earthy sand,
It scratches the soles of my feet,
I'm at peace and at one with nature,
At this wild and wonderful retreat.
So blessed to have this beauty spot,
Not even five minutes from my town,
A place to escape and be truly free
Whenever I'm feeling down.
The calming rhythm of the murky grey tide,
Helps me to relax and unwind,
As I feel the fresh salty breeze,
Cleansing my soul and mind.

Ailsa Wright Poem
You're the Ying to my Yang,
My ride or die,
The Celtic to my Rangers,
A truly awesome guy.
I hope you know how much,
I appreciate all that you do,
I'll forever have your back,
Will always be there for you too.
No matter what it is,
Or whatever it may be,
Guaranteed your always there,
For both my boys and for me.
I can't thank you enough,
For everything you do,
So i dedicate this poem,
To my legend, my cousin Blue.

Ailsa Wright Poem
Just give us a break
As i sit on my own, im left to think,
Writing down my thoughts in pen and ink,
One thousand different things running through my mind,
A life without worries, is hard to find,
I question and doubt myself, day after day,
Overthinking and analysing in every possible way,
Some days are good, but then some can be tough,
Mental health isn't talked about and understood enough,
Left to feel like weirdos, we think we're loosing the plot,
Wondering how, why, where,
Who, when and what,
Putting on a brave face and a smile that's fake,
Wishing our minds would just give us a break.

Ailsa Wright Poem
My house is always full of laughter,
Never quiet, only bursting from the noise,
There's not a single day, ever the same,
Bringing up my three, wild, yet wonderful boys.
But when it comes to bedtime,
A never-ending battle to get done,
For once I wish they'd realise,
That it's not the time for fun.
Constantly winding each other up,
Only ending when one of them cries,
When all it is, I really want,
Is them to rest and close their eyes.
I'm sick to death of hearing,
I don't know how you cope,
One night they might do as told,
For this I pray and hope.
I'm bored, thirsty or hungry they say,
Whenever they know bedtime is near,
Rolling my eyes, I give in to their demands,
Longing for the day it's no longer,
"The Last Supper" here.

Ailsa Wright Poem
In loving memory of our Nicola,
Loyal and caring as could be,
Such a devoted partner to Peter,
Simply the best mum to me.
You were taken far too soon,
Because life is cruel and unfair,
But I know you're still around,
Carrying you inside my heart everywhere.
Always caring for family and friends,
And my love for horses too,
Are just a few of the things,
That im proud I got from you.
I know you're right beside me,
Guiding every step along the way,
I love and miss you more,
With each night and every day.

Ailsa Wright Poem
Over the hill,
Sending light your way,
A new day breaks,
To rise up and say,
I've battled so much,
Sometimes lost my way,
But my past does not define,
Who I am today.
Over the hill,
Sending hope your way,
Remember your strength,
As you take on today,
It's onwards and upwards,
So come what may,
You have what it takes,
Nothing can get in your way.
Over the hill,
Sending strength your way,
You are more than deserving,
Of a bright and happy day,
No matter what you face,
Remember there's always a way,
Hang on in there and battle through,
Brighter days are not that far away.

Ailsa Wright Poem
There's no denying of the struggle,
You feel when barely getting by,
But you will never see clearly,
Only using your eyes to cry.
All starting with one small step,
Encouraging belief everyday as you grow,
Embrace the pride you feel inside,
Even when your journey is slow.
Bringing inner peace to your soul,
Your thoughts will no longer scar,
Rewarding your efforts by enjoying life,
Loving and accepting who you are.
