My legend Blue

You're the Ying to my Yang,
My ride or die,
The Celtic to my Rangers,
A truly awesome guy.

I hope you know how much,
I appreciate all that you do,
I'll forever have your back,
Will always be there for you too.

No matter what it is,
Or whatever it may be,
Guaranteed your always there,
For both my boys and for me.

I can't thank you enough,
For everything you do,
So i dedicate this poem,
To my legend, my cousin Blue.

Im sorry you see

I'm sorry, You see

To my 3 beautiful boys
I'm sorry, you see
Mum's not quite been the same lately
But I promise I'm getting better
I owe it to both you and me

To my family and friends
I'm sorry, you see
If I've ignored calls and texts
I know it's only because you care for me
But some days it's been a struggle just to function and think lately

To anyone who relates to this
 I'm sorry, you see
But I hope you understand even the strongest struggle sometimes
Be it anyone, even you or me

You keep on moving

Your world as you know it
can suddenly change overnight
So you rise the next day
to begin your fight

You keep on moving
There really is no other way

Your broken heart aches
a tired soul longs for rest
But yet you give all you have left
just to do your best

You keep on moving
Hoping tomorrow is a brighter day

You give it your all
even when you want to give up
Yet you constantly manage
to pour from an empty cup

You keep on moving
I admire the fact you do it day after day

You will sometimes think
that's it ive had enough
Just you remember though
it won't always be this tough

You keep on moving
Sending hope and strength directly your way

Just give us a break

Just give us a break

As i sit on my own, im left to think,
Writing down my thoughts in pen and ink,
One thousand different things running through my mind,
A life without worries, is hard to find,
I question and doubt myself, day after day,
Overthinking and analysing in every possible way,
Some days are good, but then some can be tough,
Mental health isn't talked about and understood enough,
Left to feel like weirdos, we think we're loosing the plot,
Wondering how, why, where,
Who, when and what,
Putting on a brave face and a smile that's fake,
Wishing our minds would just give us a break.

My Pal Dan

Sat writing this, in memory of my pal Danny K
Just a few pints and a couple packets crisps, is what we used to say
I just wanted you to know, ill be forever grateful that we met
Ill hold on to the memories we made, all too good to forget
So much left to say, now there just words left unspoken
Hard to believe your really gone, many hearts left broken
You changed my life in ways you'll never know
Absolutely devastated it was your time to go
Off up to paradise pal, where they only take the best
May you be at peace, may you be at rest

Over you now

I can not believe
that you thought you'd break me
Dear me what a fool
you lost the best you'll ever have you see
You'll realise this one day
when your sat all alone
Looking through our old texts
and our pictures on your phone
I wish I noticed sooner
what a narcissist you are
Before I let you leave
this precious heart of mine with a scar
I'm over you now
not one bit sorry your gone
Living my best life
restoring my confidence and moving on

No one else is there

Haunting thoughts are wandering,
through the prison of your mind

Yet it's the only company,
you can seem to find

Driving you insane,
all you want to do is share

Releasing all inside,
to have someone there to care

Instead an eerie silence,
is all that fills the air

Once again your all alone,
No one else is there

Belong with me

If i had the chance to stop the clocks
then I'd go back in time through the years,

Only to save myself from this broken heart
stop me from crying all those tears,

I always thought we'd be together forever
until we were both old and grey,

But for now i carry this aching pain inside
that it hasn't turned out that way,

I loved you then and always will
no matter what may be,

My only hope is that one day
you return home where you belong with me

Only one Dylan Murphy

Murphy you always had the biggest smile,
Heartbreaking to hear its goodbye for a while,
You put up a good fight, right til the end,
Such a lovely boy, and a good friend,
Haggot heast was your best crack by far,
May you be at peace now you're the brightest star.

Be Proud

Rewind to when i would change
just in the hope to fit in

Hiding my true identity
as though a dirty sin

Wandering through life
head always in a spin

No matter i tried
always felt i couldn't win

Until randomly one day
it just came to me

Stop wasting all my time
denying who i was born to be

Like a bright ray of light
burning through a dark cloud

Filling me up with self love
to accept just who i am and be proud
