I'm sorry, You see To my three beautiful boys I'm sorry, you see Mum's not quite been the same lately But I promise I'm getting better I owe it to both you and me To my family and friends I'm sorry, you see If I've ignored calls and texts I know it's only because you care for me But some days it's been a struggle just to function and think lately To anyone who relates to this I'm sorry, you see But I hope you understand even the strongest struggle sometimes Be it anyone, even you or me

You have my respect, firstly for such a brave write and secondly for the passion that produced a poem that is hopeful and does not dwell on negativity but shows strength and maturity in the writing of it, The poem is well constructed and flows together nicely. Will definitely read more of your work. You have earned a place on poetry soup for as long as you want. Hopefully you now can enjoy the feeling of sunshine on your shoulders most days. Life is not always butterflies and rainbows and it definitely isnt easy, and especially somedays like youv said it can be harder and self isolation the only answer, as everything gets overwhelming. It is Mother's Day here in the UK, so I thought it would be nice to feature mum related poems.. This is heartbreaking and remind me of what my sister went through..
