Solace By The Solway

On days where life feels too heavy, Just needing a wee break from home, I seek solace along the coast of the Solway Firth, A natural place of beauty, I love to endlessly roam. Walking along the dark earthy sand, It scratches the soles of my feet, I'm at peace and at one with nature, At this wild and wonderful retreat. So blessed to have this beauty spot, Not even five minutes from my town, A place to escape and be truly free Whenever I'm feeling down. The calming rhythm of the murky grey tide, Helps me to relax and unwind, As I feel the fresh salty breeze, Cleansing my soul and mind.
