Screaming in the silence

Screaming inside
but all they hear is silence.
Not a sound.
Don't say it out loud.
Don't tell them.
Your minds like
a carousel always going around.
Does it matter?
Do they really need to know?
Would anyone even notice
If you just got up to go?
But what if one day
that up & go turns
to just gone?
Wishing someone just
reached out making you realise
You aren't the only one.
'I'm ok' must be said
A million times a day.
But context is everything
when you say it in a certain way.
You are entitled to your feelings.
You are not wrong for your thoughts.
You don't have to justify yourself to anyone.
You don't have to accept the hate &
pretend you are alright when you're not.
You are human.
Life can be tough.
You should be able to say freely
that enough is enough.
I hope anyone reading this,
going through some stuff right now.
Isn't waiting for permission or
to be told what feelings are allowed.
This will always be a safe space to chat &
clear your mind.
No judgement here.
Anyone you meet has their own battles they're fighting.
So, that's why I choose to be kind.
When you're ready.
When you have the
courage to speak your truth & confide.
I'll be here.
Leading an ear & support
Right by your side.

It's not regrets, it's lessons learned

What is life?
but a journey,
a collection of
experiences,
a jar full of memories,
a crazy rollercoaster ride
of highs & lows,
why do we intend on making
living in this world harder?
by holding on to the things
we should be letting go,
reminding ourselves it's
not regrets, it's lessons
learned,
it's time shared,
it's laughing,
it's crying,
it's something you
can't fully understand,
or prepare for,
we just have to take a step at a time,
pushing forward,
no matter how slow,
it won't ever be perfect,
but that's okay,
we will give it our best shot,
we will hold our heads high,
you might not think you have it all,
but my darling,
you are rich in love,
more than words can say,
I hope that you keep that throughout
all of your adventures & it
stays in your heart always.

Looking at you now

It's been quite a while,
but that's not uncommon for us,
glancing back at the past with
a kiss blown up above,
What do we have left?
as I see you for the first time in the flesh,
speaking as if we're neighbours
bumping into each other or
just strangers passing in the street,
What have we become?
Is this what waving the white flag is?
a way of admitting defeat?
maybe it's karma,
maybe it's the way it's supposed to be,
even if we still don't understand,
maybe we never will fully,
I'd give anything & everything,
just to be back there for a second,
but I know that's not possible,
so, this is me looking at you now,
still trying to take in who you are
staring right at me,
if only we knew then,
all that would be lost along the way,
maybe, just maybe we would've
put more energy into just being happy.

What I see

The angel is a cover
which protects us.
The night is a blanket
that covers us.
The stars are the light
that guides us.
The moon is the night
that blinds us.

Look up

Pick a star.
Let it shine.
It sparkles.
All in time.
Let it fall.
Let it drop.
Such a bright sight.
Don't stop.
Specs of diamond.
Such a touch.
That can't glisten.
Too much.
What a star.
So far in the sky.
Whole earth asleep.
Looking down to.
Reflect on the deep.
Ruffling the water
But yet no peep.
I drag all those thoughts
into my mind.
Here you are right in front
of me looking so soft and kind,
with a dazzling smile that's all mine.
You are the star I just couldn't
decline.
So when you look up at night.
Remember the star with the insight.
No matter.
What day.
What month.
What year it will come our way.
We will both be those stars.
Living happily.
