Keila Hawkins Poem
poems dance upon my fingers to the melody of thought
warping their way around my head into the crevices of my life
these words, i live by them, my rescue they are
some are filled with love, some with hate but i promise you this, only
the words of my heart are contained
some have a beat and may roll of your tongue
but some are quite slow and are boring to read
but to me they are my life, i write every day
accept me or not, i promise it wont hurt
i will write forever, until forever is gone

Keila Hawkins Poem
wrenched by silence, isolated to darkness
sleep quickly takes me into another world
wars and battles i can see so clearly
fires and atorms i enter so dreary
children run barefoot through stones and clutter
screeming from terror, they run in fright
these dreams they take me from place to place
my eyes they see hatred, hope and love
but only in dreams, in dreams i can see
