Surface Tension

Surface tension
I wrote
The many warning signs,
That somehow satisfied us two
Hooked on a note,
Choked out of the freedom
We both could have known
Where there were blues in his eyes.
Magenta hues filled the room
With music
Volume high
My tensions rise
I want to cry, but I can't shouting passions into a void
Agony surpasses me
Can't even handle me
My face says it all
While his glares stare down and out
From his feet to his very needs
Eyes cast straight back up
To the soft inner belly of his elbow
As he rests his last worry on the back of his knee
Shot ready
Knob locked
And me
Left with no bathroom key
No way to check on him
"Can you breathe?!"
As if he could acknowledge me
He's too busy
"Babygirl, please"
Left to numb my racing thoughts alone
But with lonesomeness present, when you're not alone
There's no magic left to cure our illd woes
All I can hear now
Shallow breaths and siren spikes
ringing in my ears
Now he's blowing his nose
Left with his many, meticulous plans
To play out
With what follow through?
I would still follow you
Followed by more blues, like Miles Davis attempt at a come back
"Boy" got him.
I'll be damned if he gets you to
I would take tensions over dead prose to satisfy you.
