Flesh That Virtue Takes

The glass chatters, clanks, and shatters
As it hits the ground
But makes no sound
The only thing heard is the
Screams of pain
As I get hit into the glass
Blood everywhere
Pain unbearable
The ripping of flesh
Cracking of bones
Screams of pain
Yet no one hears the screams
No one to save me
From this nightmare
From that thing
Evil and putrid
Bragging of his virtue
But he’s hurting me
Ripping my skin
Breaking my bones
No one can hear my screams of pain
Why can’t they hear me?
Does virtue truly block others from seeing the torment before them?
Does it make its followers so blind they cant see the bruises?
Does it make its followers so deaf they can’t hear me begging for mercy?

Consumed

I feel the agony
Crawling up my legs
Gnawing at my arms
Ripping into me
Trying to take over
I fight and fight
Till the pain grows
Never stopping as it eats away at me
Ripping through me.
Many might believe
It’s simple to be consumed
that it’s quick and painless
but I know the feeling.
The sickening feeling of being devoured and consumed by the righteous,
But come to think of it,
I preferred the darkness more.

Contemplating Continuing

Why should I keep going?
Why should I work so hard for pain and suffering?
What is there to gain?
Wisdom? Completion?
That's not going to help, not any more
Not when there is no longer anyone to share it with
Not when I’m all alone in a world overflowing with mindless life
So tell me why I have to stay in a world that had nothing left to find
Nothing left to discover or share
No words heard when I try to help make this place better
Now tell me why I am needed in such an un-wanting place?
Because if you don't I will leave and never come back

Let Me Know

Killing me will not save you
Saving me will not kill you
Without a choice we’ll be stagnate forever.
We will never get out of this hell by just sitting there.
Now tap on the wall
Scream at me, just once, it's okay I promise.
But you don't save me and you only almost kill me.
Could we just be normal?
Do something to let me know you're not dead inside.
Your silence is deafening
My screaming doesn't make you move
Not even a twitch
Please say something
I don’t care if you hit me
Just let me know you're still in there.
Please mom, just let me know you're still there.
I can’t hold on much longer.

Its Mine

I fight day and night
I fight
Every light I see is of my own devices
Every dark moment i endure is of my own devices
I fight
Even if they say my light is another's
I fight
I hold onto my strength
And do not let their gods choose for me
this is my right
My fight
I will build myself up
Without your gods and demons
for my demons are more than your gods could fight
So here is sit
Fighting to be recognized throw my own ing plights.
I'll show my talents
In spite
Cause its my fight.

Sweet Gizmo

Gilded in a shroud of leaves
Some of my favorite yet so abundant
They will hold you till you are no more
Yet so much more than what you once were.

My sweet, lets let you sleep.
The road will be dark
It will be cold
But it's the end of a strifeful live

One you help me fight through
So sweet and trusting and ever loving
Your love was one of the few things I cherished
And I rage at the thought of it being gone.
But your not, you never will leave.

Let us fade who we became
And be what we were once meant to be

You a beautiful beast, glorious and glamorous in every right.
Me..let's not think of me my sweet.
Let's just think of how beautiful life will be.

Your flowers will bloom with deep reds and blues.
The trees will have thick rings for years to come.
And you will sit, always watching.
Always waiting.

For that one last touch
That I will always give.

Lies

Oiled and preened
Plucked and tucked
Everything as it should, no
As they see it should be

Plied with cloths of gold
Piled high with gems and stones
Their shroud of protection being more like a weight of confinement.
Taking all your strength to place a single foot in front of the other.
None left to flee
None left to even turn away.

As they force me to take those last few steps
I now know what this was all for
Its not a lavish wedding, filled with drink and high spirits.
Its my wake as I am to be traded for lands and titles.

Why would they lie?
Did they not know I would sacrifice all, if just asked?

Then I see them, the one I am to be traded to.
Hollow eyes.
Stiff back.
Not a sign of a smile.
Yet gilded in gold and encrusted in jewels.

What thing did they sell me to?
Will I be tormented?
What must I do to be free?

I must be weak, I heard them say.
So weak that I’m looking for escape before it even begins.

But didn’t they know, the torment started the second they lied.

Is It Fleeting?

People think of being happy and even think they are.
But are they?
Do they even know what happy is?
I have doubts that even the most enlightened would truly know.
Yet if I were to take a guess,
It isn’t and never will be constant.
But it might have been that one moment,
You know the one,
It was right before
Everything lovely disappeared…again.

To Drink

I drink and drink
One may call it a bender

I drink and drink
Yet never forfeit

I drink and drink
But only when there's a true call for it

Oh what oh what would be a true call they cry
Why, not a truer call than death do I reply.

I drink and drink
Yet they do not revive

I drink and drink
Yet my kidneys do thrive

Oh how I drink
Only when death comes
Do I truly oblige.

Oh how I will drink and drink
And drink again
When nothing left flows
Will I subside.
