Magical Journey

Magical Journey
Written by: Justin Neal Sutterfield

I hold three magic rocks in my hand
Rolling them over, over and over
Leaving this reality behind, far behind
Somewhere beyond space and time
Over the tallest mountains
And beyond the seas
There is a place I’d like for you to see
So come take my hand
Let’s walk on the crystal sands of this far a way land
I can take you there
A place of no worry or care
A place beyond your wildest dreams
Its not as far as it seems
Close your eyes
And I’ll be your guide
On this rememberable ride

Eye On the Prize

A thought just crossed my mind
Where would I be if I did call you mine
No this life is no longer my own
No greater love has ever been shown
Since my first day
Lord, you have been there to guide my way
There is no way I’m going to let this world bring me down
Someday soon I’m going to claim my crown
I’m just here for a short stay
I will be there with you on celebration day
The path is long and narrow
But I know I’ll make it with you by my side
No more need to look to the left or right
Your word has become my new sight
Keeping my eyes on the Lord above
Living in the comfort of his love
I have come to realize
I must keep my eyes on the Prize

Love Remains

Love Remains
Written By: Justin Neal Sutterfield
This is a question I ask myself everyday
My life with you is like a dream that I pray never ends
Feb. 02, 2005

If this dream was to ever fall apart
If I ever had to start all over from the beginning
Could you, would you still be my lover
If all I had was to fade away
Would you hold my hand
Would you stay
When I’m down
And I feel all alone
Would you still be the one I call my own
As for me there would be no question
My only dream is you and me forever
I’ll stat happy as long as we stay together
No matter what the weather
We can work it out
On this I have no doubt
And as long as there is a breath in this chest
My love for you will never rest
And as long as blood pumps through these vein’s
My love for you remains

Days Past

Days Past
Written By: Justin Neal Sutterfield
For my wife Christy Sutterfield November 20, 2004
For her 31th birthday

Another year has past since the
Calendar stopped here last
This year was so different from ones
In the past
So much has changed
Yet so much remains the same
Each year we grow older
With each day let it bring loved ones
Closer
From this moment on you look
Back at your past
Always remember to laugh
Make the memories that will last
And never regret days past

Foot of the Cross

Once you leave
You wont be the same
Out with the old
In with the new
Look at the new you
The outer body remains the same
But inner has changed
Turn away from your past
Look to a future that will last
Lay all your Borden down
Receive your Christian crown
You’ve just been washed by the blood he shed for you
Now go out and live for him
That’s all he asks of you

Point and Guide Me

Life is sometimes rough
There are days you want to say you’ve had enough
Take this advise
Never think twice
Life isn’t easy
Sometimes it isn’t very nice
We all sometimes need help to carry our load
Are maybe you just need a hand to hold
Just call out his name
No need to be ashamed
He will be there in your hour of need
This is something you can read
But why
Just take my words and give Jesus a try
He paid a debt that was owed by me and you
This I know to be true
Punished for a crime he did not do
He did this not just for me and you
He knew the plan
Bridge the gap between us and the father
No need to look any further
All the answers are in front of you
So now what are you going to do
When asked the question
What will you say
As for me
Jesus point and guide my way

End of My Song

Written by: Justin Neal Sutterfield
October 17, 2004
My love for you is like a fire
A heart full of never ending desire
Just the thought of you sends my pulse racing
I can’t believe all the time I spent wasting
There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you
If I could get you to feel the way I do
I have done all I can
With each passing day
I feel your love slipping away
Tell me the words I need to say
How can I make your love stay?
As I set here trying to conquer my fears
Holding back a endless trail of tears
Praying that this feeling is wrong
My life has been filled with tragic love songs
But the words still ring clear in my head
“We should just cut our losses”
After hearing that I whished I was dead
So now I set back and wonder
Did you really love me away?
Or is this just another foolish spell I’m under
Without you I couldn’t face another day
But I can’t make our love stay anyway
I’m tired of the fighting
It’s a never ending battle
My strength is gone
And I’ve reached the end of my song

Summertime

Summertime
Written by: Justin Neal Sutterfield
March 01, 2005

A time for Family Bar-B-Q’s and fun
Speed time relaxing in the sun
Watching the children play and run
The ice cream smiles
Come on over and stay awhile
A time for picnics and fairs
How I whish you and I could be there
Pop corn and cotton candy
That sweet smell fills the air
How it should be
Summertime all year long
Didn’t Alan Jackson sing that song
Candy or Carmel Apple
Oh, how that appeals to me
Summertime all year long
That’s how it should be
Like that song goes
Its five o’clock somewhere
And that’s where I want to be

Two Hearts

Two Hearts
Written by: Justin Neal Sutterfield
Dedicated To Christy Sutterfield Christmas day 2004
I do love you more than life its self

Seven months have come and gone
My love for you still burns strong
Sure we have had our share of disappointments
And it has not been easy
At times we have driven each other crazy
But we have made it through
Just to prove our love is true
Lord this I do pray
That this love will always last
Out do all the others in our past
And that our love will remain true
I commit my heart to you
Give it water and sun
And watch it transform into the man I yet to become
Through the years our love will be one of fantasy
My ferry tale didn’t come true until the day I met you
So come with me, come and see
A life of Love and mystery
Love beyond your wildest dreams
Beyond the stars in all the heavens
Its begins with our two hearts
