End of My Song

Written by: Justin Neal Sutterfield

My love for you is like a fire
A heart full of never ending desire
Just the thought of you sends my pulse racing
I can’t believe all the time I spent wasting
There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you
If I could get you to feel the way I do
I have done all I can
With each passing day
I feel your love slipping away
Tell me the words I need to say
How can I make your love stay?
As I set here trying to conquer my fears
Holding back a endless trail of tears
Praying that this feeling is wrong
My life has been filled with tragic love songs
But the words still ring clear in my head
“We should just cut our losses”
After hearing that I whished I was dead
So now I set back and wonder
Did you really love me away?
Or is this just another foolish spell I’m under
Without you I couldn’t face another day
But I can’t make our love stay anyway
I’m tired of the fighting
It’s a never ending battle
My strength is gone
And I’ve reached the end of my song
