Dad

He has gone away...
When I look for him I see...
Nothing but green grass.

Starvation

Oh Lord help this heart of mine
For it was broken and there seems no mend
I have bid my love farewell
But my heart cannot find peace without him

My Soul...............

It starves.

No Title

Take me
Share my blood
A parasite?
No, thine eyes just like mine
My Child.

Lovesomnia

It is so, she's gone.
Like the night has failed me sleep....
She has failed me love.

The Angels Sang - 9/11

8 years ago today the devil came
To kill our country with hate
So many people suffered
As dear loved ones met their fate.
But the angels in heaven sang out with great joy
The devil had failed, you see
For even though tears fell on Earth that day
In Heaven, many souls were set free.
Today in memory, we pray and salute
For those gone, church bells are ringing
If you listen with your heart on this remembrance day
You can still hear the angels singing.

An Earthly Mind

If today should be my last day,
To live in Earths luminous light
With triumphant angels I would play
GLORIOUS Heaven what a beautiful sight!
Oh I'd bathe in dew the morning brings
I'd comfort the sick and the dying
In order to get my angel wings...
For I've always dreamt of FLYING!
Wait...But then I'd be without your touch
And I couldn't kiss your face
My Love, I'd miss you way too much!
No Heavenly angel could take your place...
Would you miss me then?
Would your sweet heart grieve?
If the dear Lord decides today is my day to leave?

White Dove

For years I've tried to love again
He haunts me every time I sleep
My thoughts of him are such a sin
No one knows how thine heart does weep
My soul, his memory I keep
I've no reason not to move on
These thoughts I mustn't act upon
Trapped in a cage like a white dove
I suffer from daylight to dawn
To scream out, "THIS MAN I STILL LOVE!"

Such guilt I carry deep inside
I'm sorry but I must confess
To those I said I loved, I lied
He captured me with such finesse
Now I must grieve him and repress
Oh how I long to touch his skin
To be held in his arms again
Trapped in a cage like a white dove
My desire I hold within
To scream out, "THIS MAN I STILL LOVE!"

Bubble Gum & Cigarettes

Bubble gum and cigarettes
Friday night party crowd
Driving down the backroads
With her hair blowing in the breeze
She was flying.......
With a smile on her face
As she sang along with the radio
Her favorite song
Faster, faster
She was flying.......
Two miles from home
Her tire slipped off
Out of control she sped
Twisting, turning
She was flying.....
Lying helpless she prayed
Someone, anyone would help her
Unmoving and quiet
Her eyes closed and then....
She flew.
