Baby Angel Palmero Poem
No man is an island they say
Still, amidst this crowd and noise I feel lonely
I badly want someone to talk to
But words don’t come easy
Millions of things are running in my head
But my lips find it hard to utter
As I tossed and turned in my bed
Also wondering what really matters
I try to find the courage to fight
Trying to tell myself “It’s gonna be all right”
Hoping in time everything will be okay
But in the end, loneliness still finds me
In this eerie and cold prison
Darkness is my constant companion
And that loud voice that becomes my friend
It keeps telling me “I’m beyond broken which nobody can ever mend”
It’s a daily reminder of a failure that I am
That I have no choice, not even a chance
And redemption is something I cannot hold with my hand
And I should just keep doing this silly dance
I want to get out but I feel weak
I’m getting used to this losing streak
Should I give up and stop struggling?
Should I continue to put on a mask that’s laughing?
My head feels light as my chest feels heavy
No voice came out as I cry for help. “Please... somebody!”
I feel so helpless as this darkness envelops me
And let the monster in my head consumes me slowly
From this ongoing battle I want to be free
From this pain, this chaos, and this misery
And so I kneel down, before you I humbly pray
"My GOD, I have forgotten you. I was proud, forgive me.”

What a roller coaster it has been
The ups and downs and the in-betweens
We laugh, we cry , we shout and scream
We walk, we run, we hope and we dream
We we're tested by times and it's rough
And moments when we thought of giving up
Though imperfect and at times full of mistery
I wouldn't change a thing in this love story
Sure we hesitated once or twice
Doubting ourselves, scared to cast the dice
But we learned to walk blindfolded in the dark
Knowing this adventure is no easy stroll in the park
It feels surreal being in this journey with you
Until now, seems too good to be true
But damn! I wouldn't have it any other way
Wouldn't trade it for anything at any given day
Yes, we have a long way to go
But look how far we've gone
With each mistake, we learned and we grow
We used to be two but now we're one
A decade of tears, joy, and learning
Of struggles, defeat and of winning
Looking forward to the crystal, silver, ruby and gold
Still holding hands, together til we're old

I’ve put up these walls for long
trying to appear cold and strong
And for long I’ve hardened my heart
Now tell me, isn’t that smart?
I’ve been fooled and I’ve been used
Broken, battered and abused
And I only have myself to blame
For hoping I can win that nasty game
My pain is hard to put aside
My past hard to forget
And this has been a tough long ride
Along with bitterness and regret
And when you look and smile my way
Showering me with attention
I wonder if you’re here to stay
Or it’s just my imagination?
Your sweet-loving glances
Slowly crumbles my reservation
making me believe in second chances
When you said, I’m your inspiration
My love I hope it’s not lip service
For I can’t survive another pain
The warmth of your hugs and kisses
Seems to tell me, I can be happy again
The walls I’ve put up seems to crumble
Every time you look into my eyes
And each time I fall down and stumble
you’re always there helping me rise
Thank you for teaching me how to fly
My broken heart you mend
I will forever be your sky
And always, you’re my wind

“God Sent”
I wish I have the courage to let the world know,
the other side of me
But it’s not as easy as one , two, three
I wish I have the strength to let them see
The little girl that’s wanting to be free
But every time I take a step forward
something pulls me back
Feeling like I’m cornered
And that there’s a lot more I lack
How can I escape the chaos in my head?
Who will wipe away the tears I’ve shed?
My heart says “you’ve got to grab this chance and go”
But my mind says “you’re not ready. NO!”
I’m caught between two side of me
The courageous one and the cowardly
This has been an on going war
One that shouldn’t have gotten this far
To this misery, I need to put an end
To myself, I need to make ammends
Thank you for always being there my friend
I can’t do it alone. You are God - sent

I was once a reckless vagabond
Exploring the world with a brave heart and an empty hand
People fear the sound of my name
For I am wild, savage, and untamed
I’ve fought countless of battles and win them all
I’ve caused numbers of nations to fall
I’ve burned my enemies down to the ground
The swinging swords has been my favorite sound
I’m invincible and for long, that’s what I believe
Wanting to claim what the gods have achieved
Until you came one sunny day
Without a word, your smile disarmed me
Your long blonde hair and dreamy brown eyes
Your innocent charm like a morning edelweiss
They’re something I can’t erase from my memory
My saving grace after years of misery
So I decided to join the chivalry
Leaving the empire I built behind me
And pledge my sole allegiance to you
Laying my life on the line if I have to
You are my princess, my beacon of light
I’ll keep you safe, I am your knight
Though you are not aware of my existence
I will continue to love you from a distance

If my heart is broken in two
Which one should I follow?
Should I follow the one that’s wanting to stay?
Or the one that wants to be free?
Some wish they could have two hearts
While I wish I just have a whole
One that’s mended and not apart
Whose beat I am able to control
It gets tiring explaining why I wanna be free
When all I ever wanted is to share the world my melody
And tell stories through the chords of my guitar
Strumming the strings at night, looking at the stars
Sitting at the back of the wagon, wondering
where will this road leads me to
As I feel the wind blowing
Thinking how far can I go?
Though half of my heart is chained to the memories we’ve shared
yearning for your sweetness, knowing that you cared
But the other half is stubborn and wild
Wanting to explore the world, refusing to be exiled
It pained me to see your tears falling
Wanting to hold me back, but still you keep smiling
As I start my journey and turned my back away
I utter a word, to the heavens I pray
I pray that our path will cross again
And my music will ease away your pain
And when that day comes I hope you have forgiven me
For putting you in such a misery
You are a princess
and to your people you belong
But I am a travelling musician
and I dream to share the world my song

Every Girl looked at me with envy
As I move with grace and perfection
But they don’t know my story
Or the life I live in seclusion
I wonder if they also wish upon a star
Like how I wish to be wherever you are
I wonder what kind of dream they’re dreaming
Or the kind of music they’re playing
If only these diamonds, rubies, and riches
I can trade for a single friend
Not one that kiss like Judas
But one who sticks ‘til the end
Can I trade them all to change your mind?
To stay with me, not leaving me behind
To fill my world with your music again
If not as lovers, then as a friend?
Can I trade them all to fill this void?
To mend my heart that you’ve once destroyed
To turn back time to those good old days
When there’s just me and you and the music you plays
The day you walked away with your guitar
You leave in me an aching scar
I know it’s fair for you to go somehow
But why does the pain lingers til now?
I am a Princess
been wanting to fly without wings

Here I am at 3am scrolling through my phone up and down
Adjusting it's brightness as it slowly hurts my eyes
Here I am at 3am and in my thoughts I drown
Slowly waiting for the sun to rise
I am hoping for these white noise to silence my brain
The waves, the thunder, the lightning and rain
They've been my lullaby since 9pm
But still I'm wide awake since then
I should not have let this visitor in when it knocks
I should have ignored it and put it in a box
But instead, I took it in and spend much time
Thinking, wishing, contemplating til it's past my bedtime.
Now the sun is up and it's time for me to rise
I got nothing but worries and bags under my eyes.
This is driving me to the brink of paranoia
This unwelcomed visitor named insomnia

Ruthless is what they call you
Chaos is your friend
They curse and they blame you
for destruction you always bring
Beaten, bruised and battered
Hearts broken into pieces
Hopes are being shattered
Remains are pain that never eases
Wanting to run away
Trying to control myself from falling
But no matter how hard I try
I always end up staying
A strong force I can’t resist
draws me closer to you
Slowly and ever so knowingly
I’m falling deeper as I go
I wanted to know you care
But this answer, I have no courage to find
Scared that I may not bear
knowing our hearts are not aligned
You are the storm
Though out of wrath you were form
I am the rain
And I’m bound with you despite the pain

Fear is clear in your eyes
Though you appear to stay calm
I can see through your disguise
How can I show you I care
When you trembles at my voice ?
Though I love you beyond compare
Deep down, I can never rejoice
With the thought of wanting you
Freely loving you
Like how the sky touches the wind
I long for your embraces too
Though destruction follows me
I won’t stop trying
Hoping one day you’ll see
It’s not just you who’s falling
I am the storm
Stubborn, strong, and proud
