Hayley May Poem
For all the pain that lies beneath the waves,
crashing over my head once more,
the numbness creeps forever cold,
on a pain that was there once before,
my cry’s drown in my heart,
as i slip under again,
but there are a thousand more slipping away,
as the tide washes in,
for myself i look out for this time,
a friend is of the past,
for the ocean of the world,
a frail honest person will never last

Hayley May Poem
For the rest of my life,
i will ask myself how,
how did you let that little girl down?,
you ruined her life,
tore her apart,
drained all the happiness in her heart,
the sadness is inside of me,
the hatred of my own skin,
where did it come from?,
when did it win?

Hayley May Poem
To grow up was said to be wonderful thing,
i look the mirror with new eyes
and a harted of my own skin,
a girl who once said beauty did not matter,
listened to the words of others that made her heart shatter,
it cut so deep she lost sight her vision blurred,
of what it means to be loved and to be seen and not unheard,
a young girl watched others starve themselves and grow frail,
all to please the eyes and minds of men’s fairytales,
i see myself in the eyes of little girls that cry,
Somehow i have learnt to love myself as years go by,
this not a poem but a message to all those that read,
remember your self value and that is all you need,
you will never be enough, never pretty enough, never smart enough, to please someone that does not love you.
