Hopeless and Filled With Heartache

Tell me why doe’s the wind blow,
When it seems that almost anything can over power this boat,
The waves rise slowly and surely a storm is on its way,
A day of innocence equating beauty,
For tomorrow may fall,
And today is already gone,
I've decided that tonight is the night,
That I set love aside,
This whole time we're provoking each other in a blinding violence,
The ship rocked and I plummeted into the sea,
And you dove after me,
But now you know that I’m cold,
The mast snaps and the ship floods,
We wash up on a shore and you seek us shelter,
Crying out my name you try to resuscitate me,
Keep your hands on my chest and wait for a beat,
I'll keep your trust in my arms and pain in my feet
We will all fall in the end.
As the time to rise approaches
No one will take responsibility
So tell me why does the wind blow?

Wasted Innocent

Cold
In the eyes of the innocent
Mom in the corner trying to breathe
Ribs cracked
Lots of screams
Save me from this awe full dream

Leaky sealing’s
Broken Tiles
Shattered glass
A run down mess
Broken home
And empty homes

Facing evil
Getting older
Where does their life go
When they waste it alone
Going on the street
Getting colder

Sepia Dream

Young, strolling and taking in a view,
Of a sepia toned land where wheat is whispering my name,
While walking I look off in the distance where hills of gold continue for miles on,
The sky is red and the clouds are grey in spiral motions,
Feeling a rumble in the ground, and I break into a run,
Heavy breathing and a heart pounding out of my chest,
I turn my head to find I’m being chased by a big black dog,
About seven hands high with fire eyes and smoke pouring off of its coat,
Keep running with wheat growing to hit my face,
Stop I scream and plant my feet like roots into the ground, facing the demon,
It sits down, I ask it who he is and why he’s chasing me,
He says in a low voice, you were lonely and I thought you wanted to play,
My name is Daru, and I am a friend here to warn you of troubles ahead,
You will suffer love, loss and hardship but you shall run anymore,
Come on my back and I will take you to the shore, you will escape to the lands of yor,
Soothing his voice, I get on the demons back and feel its soothing warmth,
We ride for days till we get to shore, made of steal and powered by the wheal,
We jump on and off away from the known to lands untold.

A Deserved Redemption (Dedication To Craigery Michael Owens)

As daylight fades behind a fractured beauty,
Lights flash and hands in the air,
Hearts collide while shadows search through the night,
Reaching out for something to hold,
But all you got was an empty feeling,

The breath you gave was not wasted,
We heard you screaming out,
For something to believe in,
A mix of a motion your arms wide open,

Your light will find its way,
Just open your day and let everything fall into place,
While Shakespeare spoke,
You sang them and took their breath away,
The world is just a stage; you existed because you dreamed,
But you dream no more,

You forget the people you aloud to dream,
The people you inspired, the future,
The second most beautiful thing, music,
Legends never die while you reach out in the night,
Pull her close, and let her hear the song you speak,
Never let go, family comes first,

For you have turned many raw,
But none come near to as naked as you,
Beautiful you walked on the people that loved you,
As they cry out for more, they enjoyed it,
Your own worst critic,

You, seek redemption for yourself, as most the world should,
As the music fades you’re left with people staring,
I will not ask you about empty,
Most words are,

I wouldn’t last a minute on the creek,
I was just hoping these words could move you,
To see the light you have given me,
The heart and passion that kept me alive,

While inspiration taught me to play,
You kept me beating,
To miss voice like yours,
I guess I'll just cope with what I can't control,
You brought me back to life.

Thank you for your words,
The simple essence of your being,
The footprint you left, subtler than most,
Lyrically renowned, Innocence was lost long ago.

(Dedicated to Craigery Michael Owens- an amazing musician, profound human being with
open eyes)

Once Upan a Time

Silent thoughts and heavy breathing

Running through screaming woods

Eyes upon you

Faster and faster it chases what was left

Your heart pounds out of your chest

Steady crunching of trees and twigs

You go to scream but you can’t find the words

Or the voice that was given to you

A gift that was left on the floor

Slowing down you climb this hill

Looking off to the ocean you stop at a cliff

The night sky beautiful

But the person behind you intends to harm

Devastation as you see your face in the mirror

Through broken words and lost I love yous

You plant your knees into the ground

Breaking down a look of sympathy

From your other half

The monster you have become is the man with the gun

On your forehead a slight click

Your worthless body fell off the cliff

Like fallen stars you rest in the ocean
