Jennifer Hartley Poem
Oh chocolate, oh chocolate
You have such a heavenly smell.
You have put me under your spell.
Oh chocolate, oh chocolate
You look like a delicate bar of love.
You are like an angel sent from above.
Oh chocolate, oh chocolate
I can hear you calling my name.
You belong in the hall of fame.
Oh chocolate, oh chocolate
Your taste is out of this world,
Rather you're dark, white, or swirled.
Oh chocolate, oh chocolate
You will never have to compete,
Because you will always be my favorite treat.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
I like days with a cool, gentle breeze,
And nights when the stars twinkle with ease.
And the fields are filled with bright colored flowers,
And the afternoon gives way to sparkling showers.
I like when the days become long,
And the air is filled with the sweet robin's song.
And the birth of new life can only mean one thing,
It is the season of Spring.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
I lay in the cool green grass,
Getting ready to watch white, fluffy clouds pass.
I lay on my back, facing towards the sky,
And watch in amazement as clouds go by.
Clouds of all sizes and shapes.
That cloud looks like a bunch of grapes.
Here comes one that looks like a four leaf clover.
And I should call that one a dog named Rover.
Maybe I will have good luck,
And see one that looks like a duck.
The clouds are playing peek-a-boo with the sun.
I just spotted one that looked like a gun.
Watching the clouds is a great way,
To spend a glorious, sunny day.
But now, the clouds are thickening and turning gray.
It may not be a good idea to stay.
Suddenly, I see a flash of light streak across the sky.
Now I know it is time to say goodbye.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
Oh pizza, oh pizza
You are so piping hot,
That I would gobble you up right on the spot.
Oh pizza, oh pizza
You're so sticky and gooey,
And so scrumptiously chewy.
Oh pizza, oh pizza
You are such a delicious food,
And always put me in a great mood.
Oh pizza, oh pizza
Rather it's pepperoni, mushrooms, or ham,
You are the great I Am!
Oh pizza, oh pizza
How wonderful you taste!
I don't care if you go to my waist.
Oh pizza, oh pizza
I love you so much,
That I'll eat you for breakfast, dinner or lunch.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
The canary sat atop his cage,
And thought to himself, I got you Paige!
While Paige sat trapped in tight,
Thinking about the fight,
And plotting to kill in angry rage.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
I am the round, yellow ball in the daytime sky.
I have the ability to shine brightly,
Like a gold medallion, way up high.
My warmth that you feel, I offer it politely.
My golden yellow rays cover you,
And feel free to soak up lots of vitamin D.
My glowing, yellow appearance is a sight to view,
And wearing sunglasses will help you look at me!
I am often called God's morning star.
It is because of him that I exist.
And even though I am away so far,
If you look at me, you have been sun-kissed.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
'I really just want to be warm yellow light that pours over everyone I love' Conor Oberst
Yellow, so bright and cheerful.
The canary, with wings so beautiful.
Yellow like the sun.
Shiny like the gold medal I won.
Yellow, the color of the Christmas star,
Or the color of the mustard jar.
Yellow, like the dancing sunflower,
Or the lemon that tastes so sour.
The yellow banana on my breakfast plate,
And the corn on the cob that I ate.
Yellow, like the butterfly in the air,
Or my favorite stuffed Care Bear.
The yellow ribbon wrapped around the tree,
In hopes that my dad will come home to me.
The color of the bus I ride to school,
And the toy that floats in our pool.
I love the color yellow,
Because it helps me stay mellow.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
Handsome, loving, and strong.
These are the words that describe my husband, my heart.
Never wrong.
More to explore.
Together, and never apart.
Adore.
My loot,
And very smart.
Cute.
Handsome, loving and strong.
Together, and never apart.
Cute.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
After the flood,
There will be a lot of mud.
The mud can be oozy and thick,
And will swallow you up quick.
Some people may be dead,
But don't let that go to your head.
Some may not survive,
But most will be alive.
There will be standing water everywhere.
All around you, it is there.
You will need to use a boat,
Or maybe just float.
The sun will come out,
And erase all of your doubt.
The sun will shine bright,
And give off lots of light.
Peace will be restored,
And you will not be bored.
There is plenty of rebuilding to do,
And as a community, you will pull through.

Jennifer Hartley Poem
There is a true story you may have been told.
This is a true story that never grows old.
It happened thousands of years ago.
It is from the Bible as you may know.
Jesus died upon the cross.
For mother Mary, it was a tragic loss.
He was buried in a tomb that day,
Three days later, the stone was rolled away.
And then, there was a beautiful sight.
An angel appeared, all dressed in white.
Jesus is no longer here.
But don't worry, you have nothing to fear.
He has risen on this glorious day!
So your sins may be taken away.
Believe in him, and you shall have everlasting life.
Even the man wielding a knife.
So on this Easter day,
Shout and rejoice, and yell hooray!
For he brings peace and hope to all,
Jesus will be there when you call.
