Brittany Bigelow Poem
Inside of myself,
I wander,
lost,
in a sea,
of unforgiving thought,
pain,
and misery,
to lose all sight,
and focus,
on a tiny glimpse of reality,
it is the key,
to what I really need,
but just then,
I am shut down,
pressed back into the ground,
uncertain if I shall ever be found.

Brittany Bigelow Poem
Should I be so selfish,
so as if not to see,
the brutality,
the vengeance,
that stands before me,
staring me,
dead in the eyes,
but what can I do,
to speak out,
to show you,
I care.
I know you sit,
and wonder why,
all of your loved ones,
must suffer this way,
wonder,
how,
in the world we live in today,
this tragic,
lack of respect,
for peace to all mankind,
could even take place.
To be inside the mind of another,
to see what it's like,
from the other side,
the woes that I have,
could never begin to compare,
to the life you must live,
day after day.
Misery,
Deception,
the eyes of rejection,
peering down,
don't lash out,
or make a sound,
they'll let this happen,
but they don't want you,
to scream and shout,
to rattle the crowd.
It would be so great,
if we could all become one,
and help one another,
to end all of this pain,
and to discover,
a light,
and voice from deep within,
to show us,
where to begin.
