My First Villanelle

Why do I survive in a world so cruel?
I'd like a life without war.
Why should I remain a fool?

Why should I obey the rule?
I'd like to relive the before.
Why would I remain in that pool?

Must I stay where angels ridicule?
I'd like passage through the door.
To places where demon's fire fuel.

Must I dwell where troubles make full?
Of me, I'd like to leave the floor.
And fly up high the clouds of wool.

What can I do to the handful?
Of melancholy pressed firmly to the core.
Agony and pain in a mystic whirlpool.

What can I do about the misrule?
Of power placed at sights I abhor.
Or might coiled in a bad spool.
Of strength drained in a world so cruel.

MIDNIGHT THOUGHTS

As night falls from above I ponder when
My thoughts do wonder far beyond the skies
Of life’s actions unjust to me and then
A mind that's gone across the nation flies

In thoughts that one can meet their very end
In time so fast as one can bat an eye
With much not done as one might well intend
As God alone can judge on throne up high

What's life without but love for we to have
An age where we must get and yet we take
To find a soul which thinks to only serve
An act so lost beneath the truth that's fake

I'll still give thanks to all everything that stays
With faith and hope I'll see the latter days

Imagine

( Hold onto this anchor please)

When all seems lost and all stars gone
Imagine lights and you won't be alone

When sadness quakes and voices mock
Imagine the skies among with whom you'll flock

When happiness fades and madness runs
Imagine colours brighter than the sun

When fires scorch and winters blow cold
Imagine spring letting love unfold

When you're drowning under the waters of hassle
Imagine that you're floating on top of a castle

When they all leave and bail– don't sulk
Imagine fairies with wings are eager to talk

The 'Ones

I long for the shore amidst the storm
As the waters rattle my cold bones

I ask for help across the yonder
The darkness holds me under the stones

I want to leave, can't say live
Life's given me a bed of pointed cones

Pleas bounce back on walls so thick
Echoes of silence stab me like thorns

I sink from shallow to something deeper
An orchestra plays those deathly tones

I fear for death as it never ends there
Still in limbo I'll hear my own mourns.

Festivities

A whiff of cedar, strong in the air
Joyful cries as days grow near
When single a day, makes men wonder days
Moving about without delays
With sales rising to fullest in spike
As domestics cry out and plants alike
Tunes cheery, food savoury and dance happily
Yet man starts to act rather humbly

But wait, there more to this sunny side
More crimes arise near the glad tide
When the struggle for cheer brings out horror
Turns tidings of glee into something sour
A thief to steal and a slayer to slay
To each with intent of getting some pay
A toy for John, a doll for Jane
Tears left along, as they attain

What a season of festive glory!
Leaving someone out there, safe or sorry.

Sky and sun

Looking at the sun's brilliance
My eyes wonder the magnificent white light
An ocean or a blue sky.

WITH LOVE

A starry sky at night, above
With sleepy eyes I count with love
As fireflies sing sweet, a song
Black canvas high, for you I long
I hope to dream of you and I
Eager soul I wish to find.
