The 'sonnet' I Wasn'T Gonna Finish Bc It Didn'T Live Up To the 1st Line

Remember when you were a fleeting thought?
Back when your smile was unremarkable?
Your ocean eyes not yet part of the plot?
Before your name caused that unconscious beam?

And now I let you go, you haunt my dreams.
I look far and wide to avoid your blue.
Each curve I touch I bend to the extremes.
I chuck my headphones to flee ragtime tunes.

And now I have a new one in your spot -
A hockey boy. No scintilla of you
Nor your song. He's cute and kind like he ought.
He even loves that game you never liked.

So... care to bring me up to speed with you?
Haha... forgot I am a ghost. What's new?

Spider-Man Blanket Pov: a Poem

When will you need me again?
I know I am your security when you're in faraway lands,
But when will you go out again?

When will you notice me here?
Laying on the floor, under the bed.
I hear your footsteps every morning and every night.
But when will I see you again?

When will you realize you're me?
Ignored, forgotten, missed, claimed to be deeply loved.
I know you did not put me in this place.
And I know you did not put yourself in your place.
But when will you see we are the same and deserve better?

How Does One Name a Poem

"I want to play too! I'm Mich, I'm from Connecticut, and I got RTI and RIT."
What an adorable way to make sure you join in the intros. Tho you're a bit of a copycat, stealing my answer and all.

He is so delightful...

I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. She said.
All she heard was the sound of a passing SUV and her footsteps on the sidewalk.

"I wanted to go to Maine for college hockey, but then reality set in."
After his beautiful brown eyes left mine, I lower my gaze to this "chubby" he mentioned to notice an alternative bulge.

He is so charming...

I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. She said.
All she heard was the starting of a Chevy Cruise and her footsteps on the sidewalk.

"Does this make you embarrassed to be my friend?"
I just watch with giggles as he tries to eat the pizza but instead drops all of his papers on to the floor to abandon them.

He is so cute...

I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. I’m just his friend. She said.
All she heard was an ambulance sounding it’s siren and her footsteps on the sidewalk.

“I’m just his friend.”

Alt Title: A Wasted 3 Months

I wish I could make you leave as fast as you arrived.
But if I could do that I would not be me.

5 days in and I knew you meant something.
10 days in and you were all that I wanted.
A month and a half in I asked on a whim.
A month and a half out I realized you no longer care.
10 days out and I'm grieving not for a cat.
5 days out and I wish we had never met.

But if I could do that I would not be me.
I wish I could make you love me as I loved you.

About All the Boys I Never Loved

I once wrote a sonnet for a pointless percussionist.
Telling him he is lucky to be getting them at an early age.
A fool was I neglecting his nonchalance with my heart.

I once wrote a sonnet for a dull director.
Telling him he haunts my dreams with his graceful tunes.
A fool was I wasting my skill on that opening line.

I once wrote a poem for an admirable athlete.
Telling him his words echo down the street.
A fool was I asking for more than he ever cared.

A fool am I explaining this misuse of time.
Telling him how he will be related to the movies. And thus,
I am writing a poem for a mesmerizing manager.
