I think that you'll never understand
You shouldn't have to lie, to cheat, and steal
To have the upper hand
to just be what you are
lifes only what you make it
the only difference is:
that i work for it.....
and people like you take it....

I reach out to the world around,
open my mouth....out comes no sound
how can you stand there....just watch me drown
watch me keep on, keep on going down...
Tell me was this part of your plan....
If it is I dont't quite understand,
can't you please just lend a hand,...
help me out.... point me to dry land....
Weren't you suppose to lead the way.....
teach me about life....all the prices we pay...
Say the things that families are suppose to say
instead of just pushing me away...

It's not easy, mom,
just leaving home....
leave everyone I've ever loved
all I've ever known....
To just walk away
and begin a new..
All on my own , mom,
without you...
But you taught me well
and raised me right
helped me to grow wings, mom,
prepared me for flight...
To see the world, mom,
in a whole new way....
Learn what i couldn't learn,
if Iwere to stay........

Sometimes you'll win
sometimes you'll lose
Lifes only what you make it
it's up to you....Choose...
choose your path
begin a brand new day
let nothing get you down
let nothing stand in your way
Dont let anyone tell you different
just remember to follow your heart
Lifes full of choices
and it's never too late to start.
It's never too late to change
or to try again
to make up for when you didn't,
for when you couldn't back then.
It's up to you to make it
or to watch oppertunities come and go
you can get out there and do something
or just sit there and never know....

Look into my eyes...
past your own reflection.
past the past you despise
insecurities aside...no exception.
open your eyes and realize
we're far from perfection.
you say its all lies
i say its obsession
ignore my cries
blame it on depression
knock me down to size
then expect afection
tired of the demise
and can no longer take the rejection.
