Ode To Thy Self....

Who is fighting with the monster deep within
Trying to win this fight
That has taken over with no end
Looking for the light
To guide me through this battle
Been dealing with this for a long time now
To scared to let in out
Tormenting me with a shake and a rattle
Hoping someone would save me so I can be found
Then, I would have room to shout

How could this be? This battle within me...
I have been through so much misery
Please someone help me to be free
Then, I can have the victory
No more lies and torment
Just me only-no battle within me
Then, I can be happy again
Then, I can have some enjoyment
No more reasons to try to flee
No more doubt that I can’t win

This battle has been inside for awhile
But, I have the courage to stand up now
Now, I have a big smile
The monster has been defeated and he’s down
I knew I would be found
O more chains, I’m free
I’m unrestrained, now
It just took me awhile
No one could save me but ME
NOW I HAVE THE VICTORY!!!!!!

Time To Let Go!!

A heart takes time to heal
Especially depending on the ordeal
But to have your heart broken by someone who you thought you loved
Takes help from the man above
Showing you that this is not the end for your love journey
Just a beginning to new discoveries
Don’t be afraid of what may occur with the next one
That would take away all the fun
The Bible says, “Trust on man, trust God”
Leading your every step through this love ride
I’m saying this to help the one’s who struggle to release their past pains
Letting you know to let go so you can be receiving to change

Enough

I’m tired of you hitting on me.
I’m tired of you thinking I’m your property
Stop disrespecting me!!!
We made vows to stay as a family
Now, I’m leaving
Don’t try to stop me
Oh! You want to be stupid and come after me
Well, I have some training-
So show me what you want to do, baby
Punch, kick, and slap- down in a matter of minutes
By me that’s a fact
But, here’s some TRUTH….
I’ve had ENOUGH and I’m calling the police to
Come and lock you up

Goodbye To Love

You have in your mind everything is going to be ok. Yet, you realize the feelings you had
have gone away. You never thought there would be a time when you had to say good-bye.
Though, you had to because there is on need of living a lie.
We had to part ways, because our ships have encountered some new waves. Although, it
was harder for me than you.. In my heart I will have love for you... You can do your thing,
and I can do mine because this is our final good- bye.
Cheers, to all the good times and be done with the bad. Now, its officially done, no need to
be sad. We are no longer together, this fact is true. Just know this…..I will miss you.

Courage

Going through obstacles of all sorts. Not even holding that famous torch. People do it
everyday. From standing up to a bully at school, or even saving a child from a pool. Courage
comes in many different shapes, colors, and size. This word shows no discrimination when it
comes to mind. Courage is my great- grandmother. I love her and she cannot be compared
to any other. She taught to hold on and grit my teeth to the end. Also, not be selfish to family
or friends. I hold these things and many others I hold dear. Even though my great-
grandmother has since left this earth I know she’s near. Watching me and praying that I
keep holding strong. God is with me and I’m not alone. Keep on going, that’s what she would
say to me, and by God you will have the victory.
