My eyes begin to tire
I’ve been staring at the sun for too long now
These thoughts that make me feel so uneasy
Have led me down this path again somehow
I don’t know why
Twisting and turning
Falling down
As I grow older
This world grows colder
The screams emanating from the shadows
Have become this thorn in my side
They won’t go away
It’s all in my head you say
I don’t think so

Inside these caverns of treasure
Inside these caverns of pleasure
I’ve found ecstasy
I’ve found agony
It’s my tragedy
It’s my destiny
I can’t accept these things that you left me
One empty promise after another
Inadequate lover
Now I see you for what you are
You’re never going to reach the stars
Inadequate liar
Burn in the fire
Bleed eternally
I sift through the ashes
Now just memories of what used to be
It’s all gone now
Now these walls stand in between
It’s my tragedy

I am my only friend
Maybe one day I will send a message in a bottle
Telling someone exactly how I feel
I need to let the world know
Just how my story goes
So much can be learned from bones of old
So many truths go unexposed
I bet you do not know how many hearts you stole

Unfortunately I cannot see through this haze in front of me
Unfortunately I am stuck in the middle of all this calamity
I never thought serenity would be nothing but a fleeting dream
I never thought I would be stuck here
Surrounded by my worst fears
Drowning in the tears that angels have cried
It is all because something has died
Something inside of me will no longer be
It is all because you lied
I cannot believe you lied to me
Now I see another side
The side you often hide
Give me one good reason why I should listen
Someone give me one thing that I can believe in
I need to find something before I become nothing…

Surrender foolish pride
A stone has already been cast

My skin burns
I can’t hide from the sun
Tempered by these times
I can’t seem to make up my mind
Eternity no longer waits for me
Redemption still seems so far away
My patience has been wasted waiting in silence
