Didi Oguejiofor Poem
You look so lonely
Sitting out there in the green
A beauty to see

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
This is a woman
Heartbroken, torn up from all sides
Yet willing to conquer
This is a girl
Trapped in a web, gasping
Spun fierce by her very two hands
This is a lady
Afraid to blossom, to bloom
Ravished by that which she lived
This is a vixen
Driven by fervid passion
Albeit moving in the wrong direction
She is the girl
Intrigued by that which she can not fathom
Mesmerized even as she's ever flailing
She is the woman
Fighting a battle already won
Pleading the truce full of impotence
There goes the vixen
A voyeur to her own existence
Craving the fulfillment of its glittering facade
Here comes the lady
In her world of coyness
Reaching into the depth of its greatness
Here she comes; in you, in me
Entwined in an ever growing circle
Connected by that which makes us who we are
Seeking out that niche, striving to unravel
And in the midst of the chaos, forever observing
I am the girl, the woman, the lady and the vixen

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
My love for you, is like a tender blossom
awakening to the kiss of the sun.
My love is a moth venturing into the dark of the night
My love for you, is like a virgin bride
awaiting the tentative call of her groom.
My love is a sticky web spun swiftly by a black widow
My love for you, is like a little brook
trickling along its merry way.
My love, a cotton-mouth twirling seductively in the mating jig
Your love for me is drowning in the fumes of pure desire
A single folly only i will ever dare to remember
Mine is like the burning flame atop Mount Olympia
Dying, like the glowing embers of sinful Gomorrah
My love for you is rekindled by the supple lips
borne hither on the breath of your Zephyr
My love has sailed like a lost vessel in unchartered waters
My passion like a phoenix will rise from the ashes
your disdain the anchor on its glory
It is a fallen tree, the crimson core of my fading essence.
Didi... xoxo

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
Am i clutching at cobwebs in the rain?
Have i held on for too long?
Is this my very own Kubla khan conjured out of the depths of my faith?
Or perhaps a promise born to be broken after so many years of solace?
So many questions in my head... No one to lean to like a grasping shoot
Nobody comprehends the makings of my world
Even as they utter the words i terribly long to hear
My only assuagement is to seek self assertion
Hoping that my thoughts are not of the workings of sinister intent
Yet i have to ask, have you ever felt trapped by your own decisions
Have you been torn to pieces knowing that which you must not undo
Fearing that one step in any direction will be the source of your disengagement
Yearning for a voice from above smiling down, saying "...i am well pleased"
Seeking in the spirit that very thing which you must unveil in isolation
The revelation dawns in intense clarity
My disclosure i will not unsheathe by mere contemplation
Certainly not in the arms of he who deems to dispossess me
For what else can he proffer if not words of incitement
So to fate i have recourse to leave the adjudication
Of a certainty to resolve the creation of companion, Cupid
While i remain here in my dark twisted world, the turmoil ever deepening.

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
Lying curled up in the snow
My skin burns with the intensity of my desire
Feeling my cheeks go numb, eyes clouding over
I melt in the wonder of your passion
Feet curling in pleasure I spy the icicles as they glisten
Shuddering in delight, I must be dead, such a winter wonderland
You touch my skin and it glows with fierce compassion
I kiss your lips but they freeze and fall to pieces
Here we lay sharing in sweet sensations
Just the four of us, mine and yours together
Forever we will be, lost in space, time eternal
The essence of our love rising in wisps of true elation.

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
Just a little boy learning to fly
You awaken in the morn
The training wheels are gone
To the fields! There is earth to be tilled
In your heart joyful notes of abandon are stilled
That voice in your head ever receding
Now to Mama you always must listen
Look sweet child, look to the clouds,
Over which you soar
When you crash think it more a hard landing
It hurts to be brave when all around birds are dropping
This fear you harbour, like a pearl in the depths of true desire
Love will set your soul on fire; It will burn
It seems so easy when you're on the outside looking in
Loving and cherishing; Having and holding
An eternity of which you have been denied
Searching, wanting, needing to possess the manual
Fly little boy, fly
The wings of love will catch you WHEN you fall.

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
My eyes flood with tears
Every time I hear your voice or see your face
My heart fills with sadness
When I think of all you were and what you did
Have you seen my childhood?
It is filled with memories of you
Of pictures hanging on the walls
Endless musings, lyrics burned in my mind
Speechless, that’s how you made me feel
Spinning and sliding in the way only you could do
The saddest of it was being so misunderstood
Living the lie bestowed, trapped in your world
No one will ever know the mystery that was you
You gave so much, much more taken in return
In your own words sung with such sincerity
“…Everyone's taking control of me
Seems that the world's got a role for me…”
In our hearts you will always live
The little boy who wanted to heal the world
So also will all that you were and could have been
You never said goodbye but in that you are not alone
Rest in peace M. J. you need look no more.

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
She opened the door and there he was
Or perhaps he opened the door and beheld her
He was tall and dashing, not exactly handsome
She is dark and pretty with a handful of freckles
Their eyes clash in a flash of recognition
He accepts the seat even as she forms the words of offer
She can tell he is shy in the words he utters
He wonders why she's suddenly slowed her breathing
They speak of this and that, relevant and mundane
I sit up here and twirl in delight
Basking in the glow of lovers reprise
He turns to leave, her heart is ablaze
His name she does not know, her future she sees in his eyes
She bids him farewell, he pauses, a look of something on his face
Is it of longing, is it of despair
Is this of chance or a dazzling pair of stars crossing
Don't look my way, those questions in your heart
I'm just a fly on the wall, this perch my temporary home.

Didi Oguejiofor Poem
No more will I write of pain
The scars of war are bleeding
No more will I shed those tears
Drops of ice from the heart keep beating
These emotions of life are for the living
No more shall this quill forever tremble in despair
Let the rivers run black and the sky let loose
Lethal arrows from the quiver of Eros
No more shall fly
My love is a red, red rose sprung in the heart of darkness
Where there's love and light never will you find me
Some live for love, living is the mystery
No more will I speak of things that make the soul go weary.
