It Was Supposed To Be You

Remember when i told you i would let you break me into two?
That i would let you shred me into pieces
All because i love you

It hurts that this all still rings true
For me but not you


Remember when you told me it hurt too?
The way my tears fell that quiet afternoon
How my heart rang for just me and you
It was more than we could handle
But something inside made me want to
Want to hold on
Want to pull through 
I know it sounds cliche but I thought it would have been me and you

Butterfly Pain

She loves him but that love could kill her
He needs her but it could hurt
What do you do when it dies
But the love flies?
When it flutters like the wings
Of the prettiest butterfly
The butterflies in my stomach
The flips in my heart
You give me knots of anxiety
It pulls me apart
