Laval

Spring rain falls
Dampens clothes
Not spirits.

Coffee?

I'm sorry I don't like coffee
It's just not my cup of tea

Herbal tea because proper
Tea is theft?

Life

Ambition stripped
Bare, stretching towards a dream
Always out of reach

Sirens

Siren calling me
to dash upon the rocks
Lost in your eyes.

Haiku #1

Red heart reflected
On water stilled and cold
Warmed by breath gentle.

Skool Daze

I don't want to go to school today;
The kids all call me names
that make me want to cry - Okay
YOU WIN! don't play these silly games.
The teachers think I'm really daft,
The caretaker plays dumb,
The cook, she sits me in a draft
I really want my mum!
But pull the blankets off my bed
I have to go - cos I'm the Head.

The Smoking Room

Mutters in the corner,
Halfheard mumblings of conversations,
Uninteresting lives. Dull.
Smoke from tabs mixing with
Cold breath, dancing their escape.
Staring.
Dreaming.
Slate grey walls holding up a shanty roof.
Rain falls, pitter pat
Random thoughts.
Huddle together - apart.

Life # 4

Doubts and worries
Congregate; Hope burnishes
perpetually

I'm thinking of writing a mystery novel;
Or am I?
