Talaya Dixon Poem
It was here
Here where
Everything fell apart
Went to hell
I am to blame
A workhorse lamed
I was awake
Alone in it
All the aftermath
You were never coming home
Not in a way that I could hug you
And feel you hug me back
It's a nightmare
That became reality
And I blame myself
Because I was not there
To take your place
Because you had so much
So much going for you
Such a bright future
You were far from perfect though
But there is never a day where
I don't regret still being alive
As your birthday comes soon
I ready myself to be the stone
Everyone takes their emotions out on
I am lost, hurting and alone
My solace is elsewhere
A field of flowers, dark and drying
And a full moon casting down
On a lone trail
I am grateful you were my brother
But I am still here, as always
Feeling my way through
Everything after the nightmare

Talaya Dixon Poem
You look so alive
You've got everything in the world
Got it all going for ya
In all the best ways possible
Don't stick around me
I'm just a hindrance

Talaya Dixon Poem
There'll be no bets placed
None to make it up to you
None to suffice the ending of our story
Was it love or just you wanting to objectify someone
This was apocalyptic in the end
It was good for so long
Due to my blindness
And your forcing a foreign behavior upon me
Someone I am not, someone I haven't been before
I know not the look you had in your eyes
Was it empty or hunger
I admit I was addicted to being with you
Like someone depending on heroin
It was never good for us
There is no us anymore
You always had to be right
You always had to be in control
You ripped apart my mind to find what turned you on
You didn't like the intelligence, the creativity
Nor the admiration, the stability
Something you were looking for
You found it, buried deep within the depths
I started to regret everything I said
As time passed on
I started feeling empty
All while you seemed to thrive
It was apocalyptic, the dead love
So draining, felt so weak, meek
While you, so hungrily, grasped on tightly
Fiending off of what was so abundant
You saw it to it's end
The love that ended
The apocalypse of us
Let it be and talk no more
Speak no more to me
Speak no more of me
Remember not of who I am
Remember not of us
It had its apocalypse for a reason
