Inspired By Poem Gram Shree By Sumitra Nandan Pant

Spread on the vast farm,dew-drenched grasses as soft as silk,
Embrace the bright sun rays, and glow like some gleaming milk!
On the frolic colourful flowers, fickle the frivolous butterflies!
Mingles with the brown land, on the horizon, the endless sky!

With red-golden flaunting fruits, smother the mild mango trees,
While sitting on the leaves less peepal, sing the nightingale in spree!
Sweet soft blackberries blossom, blushing berries turn reddish,
Bloom melon, lemon, turnip, tomato, cabbage and white radish!

Wild flouting flock of fauna, play in the lap of laughing land,
The fat and gluttonous watermelon, grow well in the Ganga sand!
Cranes standing in still water, like a hermit thinking deep,
Swans are floating in water, owls are snoring in the sleep!

The children and farmers in the farm , working hard for their dreams,
The autumn withered lazy woods , waiting for the spring it seem !
Like a open carton of pearls , filled with all the beauty we can find ,
Village with nature , sweet , serene , is enchanting all human mind !

This is only the translation with some additions and changes, please read original poem Gram Shree by Sumitra Nandan Pant which is very very captivating poem , it's in 9 th class NCERT Book.

Realm of Eternity

He is beyond the horizon, his heat is present in the sun,
His feet are being washed unceasingly by the unceasing ocean.
He sing with the chirping birds, and colour the fickling butterflies,
The flowers bloom with his breath, sun set with his tired sigh.
He rest with the fallen leaves in the gleaming enthral autumn,
He is scattered widely in the vivid colourful rainbow columns.
He floats in the blowing wind and falls with the winter snow,
He surf on the wildest waves, and play with the lunar glow.
He lives in the serene smiles and wander in the labyrinth of dreams,
In summer's mallow dawn, he lives in it's tender gleams.
In monsoon's heavy rain , you see him drenched with mud and dirt,
You see him with the golden souls , you see him with the purest heart.
He is awake when we all sleep and guard us with closed eyes,
He weeps with the weeping clouds , and laughs with the morning sky.

Ode To Spring

In silence , a new leaf burst from a still node.
A tender touch of new life, revives a leaveless bough .
To mist full land from the dark dawn sky ,
New warm sun rays come and hit the road.
The earth wakes up from the lazy sleep , once again,
The old and sober mistfull cold weather die,
New freshness and fickleness , flow in nature's vein,
The Mother Earth have new flawless spring to show.

With bloom's scent or with buzz of buzy bumblebees ,
With vivid verdant vicinity or with chirps of nestling,
Outside the door , with frolicsome flower's floor,
Or with the core of unripe green mango sour !
Or with fresh wandering wanton winds , the spring
Try to embellish the entire earth with an enthralling glee.

Golden Sun sets , behind the strech of green trees
Void of forlorn silence form around , there's a lack of spree.
Tearing through the silence of sad hearts , a voice rise!
To clean the tears of crying sad hearts , a voice cries !
To bid adieu to the ceasing splendid spring ,
In nightfall , for last time , the nightingale sings.

Still They Fly , Once Again

It suddenly turned dark , when came the clamoring clouds,
They covered the land like , a corpse covered by a shroud!
Gales extinguished the gleaming lamps of life of the trees,
And threw them away , far away from their mother ground!

Winds blew the thatch of the houses and huts far away,
Forgive us ! Oh lord! said the dwellers , shouted they!
Peeking out of window , like a shy girl, there she was,
Playing hide and seek in the cloud ,the surly solar rays!

Don't ask what happened to the singing bunting-birds,
In the storm , like which I have never seen and never heard!
Their nests , their eggs , in the world whatever they had,
Fell on ground , into thousand pieces , totally shattered!

They were the one who had lost homes and their everything,
After some time of silence, flew up once again, once again singing!
To make the best once again in the scary whirling storm,
Flew away the male bird , the female one and the tiny fledgling!

If there is hindrance in the way , jump to a new height!
Courage is the only thing, which shines in the dark night!
You ought to light the lamp yourself, if you are the one
Who is alone! Who is too sad ! And is the one who lacks light!

How Dreams Differ From Destiny

In the slumber land where soft dreams dwell,
There is a local tale which a white angel tells,
" See kids the sky is same and the earth is one,
Same the heat within ,and external emitted by sun,
Air is everywhere , roaming here and there and reels,
Sweet soul within is one ,which see ,say, sense and feel,
Take a pledge now- we will sing belle song and wil spread glee,
And will hear the heart, will hold holy thoughts and let the lies flee"
(Oh no no you aren't tipsy, think before making such long leap )
And you take the oath in the sleep without thinking deep!
Well, all pleasant words and vows were complete bliss ,
(But I will see ,to which buyer you will sell your ' promise')

(( WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD))
Here we enter the exam hall in which , all destiny gives their practical,
Your part? You are with meagre stomach ,man with a heavy sickle,
Sickle ,not to harvest truth, but to protect yourself from stigma rain,
Stigma sticks to your body, sickle is used to remove it and that's the pain,
There's a prevention method, give up the sickle and flow with lies ,
You'll become stone, ready to seep ,but the society will not let you die ,
Society will adopt you and teach you to lie ( and you'll enjoy)
And then the stigma rain will be stopped by the mighty sky,
They will teach you to smile sly , and to stab and back,
You'll become stable and happy ( very , very fake!!)
You are happy !!! It's time for the fees , you will dance ,
You'll dance ,and you'll feel guilty in your sense,
Then they will stop you , not because their fun have been sufficed,
But because you have become naked in their eyes !

Let Us Be the Source of Joy

There's a lots of sadness , everywhere,
There's a lots of darkness , I frown,
Let us light the old lamp of happiness,
Let us burn it, the arrival of dawn!

Oh! Let us burn , let us spark ,
Let us ignite some light ! O Ho O!
Come on and let us burn , let us spark,
Let us end this fake night !

There's a lots of sobs , everywhere,
There's a lots of mourns, I cry!
Let us light the lamp of laughter,
Let us be the source of joy!

Let us gleam with joy , dream with joy,
Live with joy ! Everyday ! O Ho O!
Let's make people laugh, make them grin,
Let's make people light heart ! Everyday!

There's a lots of tears , everywhere,
There's lots of pain , I blurt !
Let's open the doors of our souls,
Let's not let anyone leave us with heavy heart!!

(This song can be sung on the tune of " give me oil in my lamp")

Winter Is Around

When the dancing dew on the leave fall on ground,
It seems like shouts are coming out of shroud,
And this reminds me that winter is around.
When the way have mist and nobody is found,
The fragile heart beats high, and feelings seems drowned,
And this reminds me that winter around.
When the leave vanish and rain seems hound,
And the tree stand alone,it's face seems frowned ,
And this reminds me that winter is around,
When the mouth stuck and eyes make the sound,
And acquaintances seems precise with the moon round,
And this reminds me that winter is around.

Hiroshima

All the lives did dwell in town,
Laughed and grew they all,
Then , Sun rose from land and covered the sand,
With a bloody pall.

The second sun came from the west,
Out on the land came he,
Coloured in the hue of mortal blood,
It wreaked the sorrow's sea!

No one shouted , cried, moved or ran!
In air vanished everyone,
Instead of light , they had gained,
Darkness from the rising sun.

Where they went? Oh! Where they went!
Knows no one , but the ground,
In bright light , from it's sight ,
Was gone, whatever it had found!

The smoke cleared and West cheered ,
For the battle it had won ,
Else no words , of praise were heard,
About that gory sun!

Sudama Charit

Not even a turban ,rob he have , oh lord! I don't know from where he came,
A torn out towel and trouser he wear, no shoes in legs,he is a lame ,
At the gate there is a brahmin, see the Dwarika empire and exclaim,
And ask for thy address, oh lord, and say Sudama is his name .

How much torn thy feet from thorns, thousand of prickles I can see,
Where thee have been all this time? How's thy family and how are thee?
By seeing Sudama's sick state , cried the lord out of pain ,
He didn't touch the trough water , washed pal's feet with tears rain !

Night of a Fallen Sky

As the night foster, sank my fragile heart,
Because the frivolous moon began to play with my thoughts,
As gleam the the moon up high , heart began to go in deep,
Thinking of many butterflies that come to me and left ,
And of cemetery I went with flowers , bestowed,
With gangrene and extinguish bodies which once glowed,
The chain of thought broke , with a marvelous sight,
Once dead sun again stood for fight !
The sun rose for them , who burn and got too far,
Still night for them, who let exodus the stars!
