Heaven

been to heaven
least once or twice
as young man
held her hand
her heart.

been to heaven
held a freedom
seen a prefect dawn
walked away
then cried

Been to heaven
held tight the dream
with each memory
light a torch
for tomorrow

After 1am

What will become of me
have I lost the fire
become my worst fears
darkness in my eyes
mirrors see though me
half dead half alive
time to walk that extra mile
smiling for a freedom
that ran away
with the gosts of yesterday.

The Way It Is

The way it is?
You hold me,
kiss me,
touch my hand,
“my friend”
don’t you understand?
 I trusted you?
 yesterday!

Hells Gate

Half way to wisdom
half way to hell
been traveling so long
can't really tell.
Sometimes in front,
sometimes behind,
knowing that wisdom
is a state in my mine!

I wake every morning
put my mask on.
forgetting my wisdom
whats really wrong?
What am I doing here?
do not really know?
Don't have to stay
I could “just go”?

But the hell of it is!
I don't really care.
life's been joy, laugther,
dreams,love....despair,
“life's mental breath”!
Makes me wait,
half way to wisdom,
just outside.... hells gate!

Land of the Living

Watched like a fool
time grew bars around me.
A trapped mind screamed
“too late to escape"!
Blocked by my last run
it brought me here.
Now I stand a lesser man.
What I looked for
“I'll never find'!
The land of the living
is killing my mind.

What Time

What time is life now,
beginning or end.
Where is life going ,
where has it been

am I my life?
Resting, waiting,
lying ,hating.

Life has no time,
just beginning and end.
lost somewhere between
living and life.
Is where I am.
