A Story of Love

Here upon the poet’s hallowed ground,
my soul I bare for all to see,
I leave my tale of perfect love
and all you mean to me.

For years I’ve wandered aimlessly,
walking blindly in the night,
‘til your soft and tender kiss
unveiled such ardent light.

‘Tis said one never knows,
the breadth of true love’s power;
like a storm it sweeps upon you,
a sudden formidable shower.

I stand now as living testament,
swept up in its raging current.
Logic bows to the heart and soul,
overrun by true love’s torrent.

Like minds, like souls, like hearts;
drowning in self lament,
‘til fate’s fortuitous hand
revealed love’s sweet content.

Once I mocked the poet’s verse
that paid such homage to the soul;
playful dreams and fantasies,
that spoke of halves made whole.

Such mockery is but a fool’s mirage
your touch forever changed me;
you bore witness to life’s verity;
a portent of what living should be.

As the tempest cleared away
once gray skies turned blue.
The pallid now resplendent
as I viewed the world through you.

Now stripped of past vanities,
I stand naked in the sun.
My world forever changed,
when you and I became one.

Emerging from such throes
to the heights of ecstasy,
your soft and gentle touch
has made it all clear to me.

My world forever changed
that day you stole my heart.
The poet’s verse doth ring true;
I’m but half when we’re apart.

So, my muse, I leave my tribute
here where love’s prose grew;
the perfect theatre to tell the world
how much I love you.

The Sea Ever Flowing

At the end of the sea and start of the sand
there lies a place; a place where we stand
and watch the sea go from shore to shore
in an endless tide; that for so long before
the grass was tall and the wind was blowing,
has been moving like the sea - the sea; ever flowing.

And the stories of time, though it has no effect;
on this endless sea, it will always reflect,
on its blue surface and from deep below;
those stories of time is what it will show
to those who look - who look and stay
long enough to see Forever beneath that white spray.

Have you seen the blue shores? Have you seen
the endless sea flowing like out of a dream?
I can't say I have; or that I understood
what it was trying to tell me best that it could
while I was standing out there; but still I did try,
as dark clouds came over and covered the sky.

When it rains on the sea, this you should know:
The sea becomes black and the harsh winds blow,
while the waves get larger and much taller too;
it is a frightening sight, frightening for you;
as for me, I was terrified beyond all my words,
 as I looked up I saw a flock of birds
flying away, to where - I can't say,
wherever they go when it rains on the sea like today.

And then, seeking cover, I was soon again dry;
and sooner than that out from the dark sky
there came light from the sun, which I greeted
with shouts of joy as the rain retreated.
Back beyond the horizon while the winds dropped
to a breeze, and the great waves stopped
their barrage on the newly-flooded sand,
leaving only a small place for me to stand.

And there I stood until Forever had passed
and I had seen it; then turning at last
back up to the road where civilization lay,
and that's where I walked, and walked away,
from that great sea, that sea ever going
from shore to shore - that sea ever flowing.

The Right Road Taken

I hear a voice call out to me
through whispers in the wind at night.
It haunts my soul and sends a plea
for love to shine its brilliant light.

Within my dreams my spirit seeks
to find the source of this request.
To share the love of which it speaks
has now become my fervent quest.

I travel past the demons' lair
that held me captive for so long.
I quicken pace lest they snare
entrapping me within their throng.

I journey down the winding road
still following my lover's cry,
but as I see the fork I've slowed
now wondering which path to try.

If I choose wrong, the voice will fade
and my last chance for real love dies.
I listen for the serenade,
within her words she might advise.

She sings a song with a western tone
and now it's clear which route to take.
The west is where the light has shone,
the truer path, there's no mistake.

As further down the road I go
my destination lies in sight.
I hear the music's volume grow,
my heart's now dancing in delight.

Upon her beautiful face I look
as her arms envelop me.
I'm thankful for the road I took
for on that path I found the key.

It opened up sweet passion's door
where two lost spirits join as one.
Composing a true lover's score
this duet’s journey's just begun.

Valley of Dreams

Taking a ride through a valley of dreams,
nothing that you see is all that it seems.
The sun shines on you with a smile on his face,
its a wonderful feeling when you visit this place!

Silver-winged angels escort you as we travel along,
hummingbirds, with tranquility, sing you a song.
Butterflies fly gracefully by with eloquent pace
roses we pass shall paint a smile upon your face!

Serenity overcomes you as the journey proceeds,
nature enchants you, as you recognize her needs.
The beauty is there to enjoy every day of the year,
just open your mind, it will become abundantly clear!

You don't need to dream, just look around.
Everything has beauty, waiting to be found
when you are down, to put a smile on your face.
Open your eyes to the beauty of stars in space!

They shine their light in the dark of night up above,
each one is shining on you and is sending God’s love!
So, wake up the world and let the people shout!
Because love and compassion are what life is all about!

Come along with me, I will take you to a valley of dreams,
where nothing that you see is exactly what it seems.
We travel along a valley, in the glory of heaven above,
stand up together and rejoice in God’s endless love!

Through the Night

All throughout the night
the skies are dark and cold.
 The stars, fitful, sparkle bright
 for dreamers to behold.

Silent nights are never heard.
 Wolves sing to the lonely moon.
 Crickets chirp, and the only bird
is the owl that softly croons.

Let us watch stars at nightfall
as they all slowly appear.
From here they seem so small,
they shine so bright and clear.

I'll sing of stars all night long,
until the twilight hour's past.
The waning moon joins my song,
thin, wavering shadows it casts.

The edges of the horizon glow
with a gentle shade of pink.
Soon to light the earth below,
the sun is rising above the brink.

I must wait another day
to see the stars once more.
I must find another way
to leave this ground and soar.

Firefly Night

The sweet breeze making the tree limbs sway
brings the scent of pine tonight.
Drunken, two bunnies gracefully play
in the gentle glow of the firefly night.

The painted sky begins to fade
and the stars are becoming bright.
The sky is now dark blue suede,
in the gentle glow of the firefly night.

The crickets begin their lullaby.
The lovely songbirds cease their flight.
The moon grows ever big in the sky,
in the gentle glow of the firefly night.

Sitting on my big swinging tire,
I wonder at the spectacular sight,
of the little round balls of fire
that brightens this beautiful firefly night.

Seduction of a Poet

She slips into my presence
as I sleep, or think, or breathe;
to kiss my lips without a touch,
with movements of fluid ease.
I sense all that is woman
by her femininity;
she is my heart's desire and
all the passions which so please.

With my rough hands at work
or the taste of honey sweet;
the fragrant flowers’ bidding
will be an aromatic treat.
When life's music is a love song
and her voice a melody,
do I add another stanza
that could bring her to her knees?

Her loveliness does consume me
as I sense her soft request;
visions of her beauty
bring out my very best.
My fingertips are longing
for the touch of silky lips,
or to glide upon the shoulder,
over breasts or waist and hips.

I close my eyes again tonight
and listen to erotic pleas,
as my memory takes a journey
of the words she evokes with ease.
I let my longings take me higher
in the fervor of her song,
may the medley of her sultry sighs
be the drive that makes me strong.

I Only Have Eyes For You

Look into my green eyes and glimpse love’s reflection;
let my whispers of romance surround your sweet soul.
Indulge in the depths of seduction you find there.
Feel it’s longing embraces; let them make you whole.

Reach out, take my hand; place it upon your firm breast,
that I may feel the pounding of your heart for me.
Tender love, I shall take your hand and do the same.
Let us fall ever deeply and set our love free.

Wrap your arms tightly around me; I’ll pull you close.
Our body heat merges as we swoon from romance.
We’ll rub cheeks together and breathe in the moment,
while spirits are woven into sensual dance.

Long full breaths are taken with slow, relieved exhales.
At the perfect time our lips melt into a kiss.
Engulfed in warm light, two lovers walk on the clouds,
lost in sweet tenderness, enchanted by it’s bliss.

Allow the love in my eyes to entrance your heart.
What we share will make deep, intimate dreams come true.
The mirrors of my soul reflect your soft image.
My Lady, My Love…I only have eyes for you.

A Lament

Are these the woods I walked in once?
How the trees have been cruelly aged!
Are these the fields where our bodies engaged,
When love's burning flame bound us as one?

The crops of golden summers have gone,
I look now upon their scattered remains,
Our love indeed is now just the same,
All once strong has been lost, is gone!

And only now in the shelter of my dreams,
Can I recall the ethereal beauty of your face,
In a never aging state of grace,
Untouched by time's malicious schemes

Are you still that Goddess, like none I've seen?
Or are you too time's bitter slave?
Crawling slowly towards decay,
And lamenting for what there once had been?

A Hint of Seduction

Warm woman of my dreams, fall into my arms,
I shall wrap your cravings with persuasive charms.

Fingers discover every inch of soft skin;
while visions of loving are growing within.

Our eyes lit up with the lure of pillow play,
whispering of sweet things they will share today.

Bodies pulled into our sensual abyss;
as we slip spellbound into erotic bliss.

Tender kisses wake love out of its slumber;
hearts pounding in chests like summer thunder.

Captured and bound within our lovers’ embrace;
I behold pleasured gestures upon your face.

I lay you down as your satin petals spread,
aura of pure ecstasy swims in our heads.

Low sighs and moans signal of coming release;
you shake and scream, “Oh Love, cum with me please!”

Desires fulfilled and all passions set free;
you are sleeping soundly, lying next to me.

We slumber briefly then suddenly awake;
again seeking pleasures that make the earth quake.

Over and over burst raptures’ eruptions,
this love began with a hint of seduction.
