Forgive and Forget

Why do we do what we do
To love and to lose
Why must we believe what we believe
That "No one would ever hurt me!"
We as humans make mistakes
And we as humans never give but take
Yet all humans still wish
That good will never vanish
Personally I say
That in a certain way
All man made equal and same
Deserve to believe and to change

For those who don't believe in forgive and forget.

Goodbye Halcyon Days

Like an Orchid in bloom
I fell for you
Little by little
I was consumed
Were do I sleep?
When thought and dream
You constantly seep
Into my heart
To become a part
Tethered to me
For all to see

Times were good
Some stressful too
But I was happy
Being next to you

I saw only you
You saw only her
And yet I fought
For you to be together
With the person
Who shined in your eyes
I should have no reason
To be this nice
To set up the person I liked
With the one she seeked
Even though it wasn't me

But now your leaving
The one who loved you
And everyone else too

Cold Days

Crunching under foot
Is the freshly fallen snow
     Muffling all sound

Hurricane Ane

Dark clouds roll on in
    Cyclone of power and fear
As changing as the river of life
disperse from your path of death
    Blue skies, You weren't here

Petals

Flowers open wide
They ask to be provided
   At the end they close

I Stand Behind

IS there even anything I can do
When you push me away
I just want to stay
By your side forever
I wouldn't give you up
For the world and all it has

I don't know where to stand anymore
Its like the ground it leting go
and I fall below
To the endless dark without you
my light
Your the fire in my heart
the single part
that keeps me grounded
That keeps me around

BUt what do I do
I'm starting to feel used
I'm still there for you
But you step on me
and push me
I'm getting weak
With every crack and break
My resolve is losing

I don't know
If I can still go
and I fall below
To the endless dark without you
my light
Your the fire in my heart
the single part
that keeps me grounded
That keeps me around

I guess It will have to be this way
I just want to stay
I don't really see
any other choice
It still hurts
But makes me so happy

A Long Journeys End

Simplicity was best
And now as you hover by my chest
I would like to remind you that you’re here
In my heart
Forever near

I don’t know how
But you touched me
And as you take the final bow
I would like to thank you

I saw you vaguely
But I saw you truly
Kind, gentle, always there
Just to talk about everything
And also nothing

The battle was hard fought
And after all the pain
Your serenity that was sought
You have obtained

So may God bless your travels
Into his gates
And may he watch over you
And keep you safe at best
For now you may finally rest.

-To Katie, a very dear friend that though I may not have spent as much time with you as
some I saw you as the great person you were. May god keep you by him and safe in heaven.

The Company I Keep

I’m never alone
Even when I’m on my own
I cant get away
For even just a day

There he is
Always at my feet
He reminds me what was
And what can never be

Its this constant reminder
That makes me shudder
When the distractions leave
And I’m stuck with me

Days Turn To Weeks

It started with a glance
But I had no clue
I'd end up liking you
The way I do

Like a rainy day
I'd love to stay
In your golden grace
Your nonobjective space
This warmth from your smile
Keeping me all this while
In awe that someone like you
Can be attracted to me too
Im just a freezing day
In the dark of a cave
Your that shining light
That makes everything right

Your cool and fun and cute
Your into what I'm into
What more could I ask for
Everything I want is in you

What It Means

What it means
is to care.
About not you,
Not me
But a Bigger "WE"
And to see
All there is to see.
To share
What you are
And who you are.
And when you
Will be there
To show you care

What it means
Is to hold.
Onto everything
And anything
And all the things
You can.
to love and to want
So much,
That your thoughts taunt
you with the image of her
That idea is sure
To be all about
You and her.
To the point of no return
And like a fire that burns
So does your love.

So then what does it mean to long.
For that sweet song,
For when you say,
What inside lays.
She repeats
That unyielding treat.
Of not yours,
Not hers,
But love together

So then it means
For her,
This day
I'll always wait.
