Love Letters

Love letters written
The poet he writes
Feelings he holds
Cascade through his night
His way to her heart
Forever and true
She runs to his arms
To say I love you

California

Big Bear I met her there
She was in the snow.
San Clemente
By the sea
Her hair golden brown.
Arcata
I like her,
Her redwoods running free.

Summer Evening

Summer Evening

Ideas come to life
As I arrive at the small Brooklyn music parlor.
She looks deep in my eyes
Softly telling me about her day.
Conversations turn to a whisper
As the cello and violin prepare.
Gentle music is performed;
I close my eyes to see.
The departure walks down
A long straight tree-lined block.
Brownstones quietly reflecting
The warm summer moonlight breeze.

Carefree Summer

The ocean brings a lazy slumber
Coconut oil and the scent of her next to me
Seagulls sing in a faint distant orchestra
On a blanket
The sun warmly, peacefully delights me

The Romance of a Woman

she looks in my eyes
inviting me in
a soft kiss tonight
will only begin
the romance she holds
deep in her heart
the music shall play
the beautiful art

A Mother's Son

A Mother's Son

A mother's son
Steadfast and true
To hold her hand
She guides me through
Her voice I know
Forever I long
To look in her eyes
In my heart she belongs
