Perfect

The true fact is
No one
Is perfect
But somehow
There is a perfect image
For people
To recreate
It's not fair
It unrealistic
And it's unachievable
So
Even though
We
Try
To recreate
The
“Perfect”
Image
We still
Know we can’t

Which
Leads us to
Doubt

This
Image
Leads us to
A pretty
And
An ugly
It leads us to
A right
And
A wrong
It leads us to
A fat
And
A skinny

The thing is
Everyone is looking
For more
But what we
have to
Accept
Is that
We already are
That
“Perfect”
Image
Because
You
Are
You
And
That
Is what
The
Image tries to
Tell us

It tries to scream
That you can't
Believe
The still
Images
When you don't know
The moving
Background
You don't know
The tough
Behind
The beautiful
You can't
Tell yourself
That there is
Someone
Prettier
Because
Everyone
Has there
Own standards
Everyone
Has their own
Ideas,
Opinions,
Beliefs
The only things that
You
Can judge
Are your own
Ideas,
Opinions,
And
Beliefs
So don't
Go
Hurting
Other people
Based off of
Your
Perfect
Image

Page

do you ever
wish
that there was
someone
that knew you

that there was
someone who knew
the pain
behind the
smile
the depression
behind
the happy

the people
who make
assumptions
are the people
that you can’t
trust

it hurts more
when someone
gets to know you
but doesn’t realize
the small hints
that you’re
not okay
that your hurting
on the inside
or that you
hide your feelings
so that the others
think you are someone else
other than a depressed
little nothing
who spills all their
feeling to the ones that
they feel comfortable with
and onto a page

it gets to the point
where the page
is the only thing
that helps numb
the pain

the best feeling is when
the page listens
it tells you
that its
going to be okay
that it is there
when you need it
the privacy
of your feelings
kept safe
from the rest of
the world

it tells you that
that weight
on your shoulders
can be lifted off
and instead
be put
onto the page
for you
to feel better
and for
you
to feel
relief

Shadows

The sun
Who lights up the day
The moon
Who lights up the night
They both get their chance
To shine
At some point
Maybe it's not your point
Yet
Or maybe
It
Will never be your point
Because
Maybe one time
The sun
Won't
Shine
And we'll be stuck
In the dark
With no light
Nothing else
But darkness
The screams
The shouts
The panic
The pain
There was no light
All there was
Was hope
That could be
Snatched away
In less
Than a second
But that hope could stay
At least
For a while
Possibly
Maybe
Probably
But after
People start
To vanish
It gets to the point where
It's
Unlikely
Improbable
Questionable
Unconvincing
And it's growing to be impossible
To maintain
That hope

So you can try to stay in the light
Until the darkness takes over
And you’re stuck
In the shadows

Judge

Why does everyone
Have to judge
Each other
We
We are all
Humans
But somehow
somehow
We always think differently
Why does there have to be
A right
And a wrong
A skinny
And a
Fat
A pretty
And an
Ugly,
Can there ever
Just be,
human
normal,
different
yet the same
Can there be someone
Someone who will listen
Is there a way to
make
People like
you
For who you are
If
there Was no Makeup
Or Something
To cover up
The beauty
of
you
Would people get used
To normal
When they can
See the regular
You
Is there
an easier Way
To love
Each other
Even if
Their
Body
Isn’t Perfect
Or
Their
Face
Isn't what you thought
Can there
Be
A
You
In the world
That no one will
Judge?

Cuts

Love
What is it
Does it
Have to be
From someone else
Or can it be for yourself
There isn't always that
Though
There are cuts
And
Scars
And blood
That come from
That hate
For yourself
It's not
Stress
It's hate
Pure hate
For
Yourself
When
You don't feel good
Or when don't like
The way you look
So you
Bleed
When you don't like
The way you act
So you
Bleed
When you don't like
The way the universe wants
You to live your life
You
Make
Yourself
Bleed
It's
Relieving
It's frightening
But it helps
The cuts
And scars
Help
Even though
You need help
They help

Jump

do you ever wish
you had someone
that would
hold you
when you’re sad
or when you don’t feel
pretty enough
or just don’t like who
you are

do you ever wish
there was someone
to help you
when you needed it
or when you
couldn’t bear
yourself anymore
so you wished
you could jump of
the brooklyn
and just stay
in the quiet

how peaceful
would it feel
to have
the wind
in your hair
to have
the cold
surround you
while you drown
in silence

but then that someone
would come
dive in
to find you

when you were trying
to find yourself
they found you first
