Steps To Sobriety

Six days of sobriety may seem awfully long
but somehow in the midst of this I've kept it going strong.
I can hardly imagine how I'll feel when it comes to being clean
but I do know what I see is real and I'm loving what I've seen.
Without the support that you have given and the same goes for the group
I would never have been able to do this. I would have rotted on my stoop
For the way I see it now makes more sense than ever before
all I needed to wake me up was that alarming sound when I had slammed doors.
I know now theres a path, the way that I was going.
But now I've found a different one, and I'm proud to keep on growing.

Turtle Lagoon

In my room I hold a turtle lagoon
Though it's dry to the eye and the touch
I avoid their disturbance, they require no survice
Simply, in my room they have a niche
Upon my selves I spy moving turtle shells
Without a turtle inside to see
As miracles they are hidden, by the use of this disguise
To negate the fact that they're free
They perform the former by winding the stormer
and forcing my room to sway
On their backs, I find my nacks
That they travel and lose,
But in my space they stay
Only now is it obvious what my sight obligates
It is my responsability to find and write
But what's curious to me, but expected by we,
is that I'm the only one with this sight

To My Nephew Hunter

Loving sighs and lullabies and kissing you goodnight

Loving you as you love me and keeping you in sight

Gum in hair and spilled milk scares

and teaching you to turn on the light

My bond with you means so much,

yet I've run out of things to write.

..It Was Better Than Butter. ?

Well atleast the wall says hopscotch
Better than butter !
but butters too bitter.. in my scotch
So scorch the sapling that stays to say that the scorpians say they stay to prey !
While willingly waiting to see where we were
Pipers hate pepper plugging their pipes peaking purrs !
Pardon me Polly
Bonjour !
Good day !
But she never told me what she said that same day
She told me it would just get in my way..
Oh darn !!!
Hurray !.. ? My mistake..
dont frett.
she'll get by fine on her own I bet !

Do It

It's supposed, I could
And they've made it clear they would
So for those, I should

Tree Made of Every Fruit

In a place that's misty and gray
Beneath a shadow wolf and it's prey
Into the haze, winds tickle tree tops
A tree made of every fruit
Grows real plump,
Then stops!
To bask in it's accomplishments
It stood proud among the breeze
It fed winded birds tired from flight
from across the fruit tree's grape juice seas
Soon children came, to feast on this masterpiece
The tree trembled as they munched and crunched
and ate that tree, bunch by bunch
The more the children picked from the branches of this tree
The more fruit would blend and mend, and become apart of the grape juice sea.
Until one day all that stood. was a stump of bark and a lump of wood
Lay Beside a mystic grape juice sea
Where a tree made of every fruit used to be

Melons

Many melons on the table
I will eat them if I'm able
All at once, I cannot do
Not until I take a poo
And so, until my butt is stable
they'll be sittin' on the table
