On your day in white
He shall take you to wife
Til death don't you part
Your eternal journey embark

The Holy Spirit of Promise
Joined with one kiss
May God and Jesus allow

The 'Broken' Nose

Swollen eyes
Smeared blood on my chin
Iron taste in my throat
Stinging nose
Cheeks like a fire truck
Eyes like leaky vases
Drip drip drip
Blood everywhere
Blood not stopping
Blood still falling out
Clots of it in my sink
Lots of it on my cheek
CNBD struck again


*CNBD is Chronic Nose Bleed Disorder
I have anywhere from 4 to 30 nosebleeds a week ranging in severity, so I wrote a poem about it

Adventure of the Lonely

They laugh as they leave me in the dark and in the damp
I'm strong enough to show them, though, I myself, can't say I am
The mirror screams profanity; my ramp into insanity
The sadness that consumes me; is living where I shouldn't be
My journal is my mind's riots
The words that I've whispered in the sounds of silence
I've fought hard and fast to be here. I deserve at least to dream here
Of a place I'd rather be, and a life I'll never see
Am I going insane, or am I paying them to cure me
Am I winning, or am I losing my mind
There are no arms there to catch me
No friends here to patch my broken soul
The adventure of the lonely leaves a massive, gaping, hole
I'm failing without my Father
Falling fast into arms with a name I've never heard and a face I've never seen
He left me to fall into the abyss unknown
To burn my house and to burn my home trying to live on my own
But now I'm lost in a dream
No sense of direction, and I'm falling toward the ones who've pulled me into their scheme
But am I lost or am I found
Can they hear my heart's sound
I make chaos for breakfast; my hat filled with mice
Running around giving self-righteous advice
I'll cook up a storm while I learn how to feel
And I'll teach me to read between the unreal
I watch them lie, and I see them pray
Are they the same as they were yesterday
They're talking without speaking; hearing without listening
They can be beautiful, but their minds are full of mimicking
And their souls are long gone
I put them to the test; they pass, but are they genius
Or is it just a con
There are none as real as He
Sometimes I get the feeling He's watching over me
He makes me hope to understand Him, while I try not to offend Him
To the adventure of the lonely I can no longer refer

I'm unhappy here
Sitting, being told what to do, who to be
I'm unhappy here
Opinions shoved down my throat
I'm unhappy here
Forced to act loving towards people I hate
Why is the moon so far away

I'm unhappy here
Sitting alone in my house filled with people
I'm unhappy here
Having to care, but not really there
I'm unhappy here
Spewing out lies, pretending I'm fine
Why is the moon so far away

I'm happy here
Being myself

Alone without people

All your memories crash home

They are a horror movie
Terrifying but you can't look away
They are the monster under the bed
And in the closet
And tapping on the window
They are the fear of monsters

SEVENTEEN
They are the slow songs
The what about love songs
They are the pick me ups and the fall apart songs
The dance and sing with all you've got songs
The put it on repeat and fall asleep songs
They are the static on the radio at 2am

TWENTY ONE
They are a mixed drink
An ounce of tequila madness
A dash of rum anxiety
And a wedge of lemon cynicism
You want it to stop
But you're three shots in with three more to go

You can't keep your memories from crashing home
And surrounding what you don't want to remember

Panic Attack

The rush of the waves in the shell
Is as calm as my brain
The waves that I hear
Are the blood in my ear
And my ear is going insane
Deepening the roar inside the shell

The rush of the waves entices a smell
The smell of salty sweat
The sweat that I feel
Is as slick as an eel
And the gross of being wet
Increasing the nauseating smell

The rush of the waves becomes more like hell
My ears making a louder duet
To the wet of the storm inside of my veins
My imagination creating the rains
Causing the shipmen, their voyage, regret
Wishing to escape this sudden hell

Blue like the sea, he was calm and collected
Red like the sun, she only saw what she wanted
Blue like the waves, he watched and listened
Red like the rays, she danced and glistened

Blue lives in the night
Red dies at the sight

Blue like the fire of the smallest flame
Red like the sky through the window frame
Blue like the blood inside your veins
Red like the tears when wrapped in chains

When we met I was pricked by cupid's dart
She promised to always be there for me
I have been in love since the very start
She walks in a crowd, they part like the sea

When she walks her hair billows in the wind
She is as fair as winter's white snowflakes
Lips more red than any rose I could send
My love is lasting. For her my heart aches

When she wakes, all the world begins to sing
She is anything but simplicity
With her love around, I feel like a king
If my heart is a lock, she has the key

She defined beauty and kindness and grace
But now she's gone and there's tears on my face

I shake my head and say "no"

I am a planet and you are a star
You are beautiful as you are
Shining and showing and twinkling at night
Like a diamond; you show your great might
Strong and steady; you are a guide
Large and heavy; I fear I should hide
I reflect kindness and beauty and grace
You reflect nothing and stay in your place
I am dependent and you are sublime
You are dying and I'm in my prime
When you're alone you still are fantastic
When I'm alight it must be by magic
You give courage and control
I give nothing and I'm dull
You are self-righteous and I am a mirror
