Haven

I felt home
In its presence I felt warm & home
With no contact, I feel touched by just staring
Distance meant nothing for if I could see I could feel
Its light made our nights as we lay calm watching the moon's revolves
While mama tells a story of its uniqueness till we fall asleep

 *TheWriter'sWriting*

My Haven
Ransacking the celestial bodies
None could be a match
The geoid shaped always have my attention
Its an art entailing artist
It was awe inspiring
 @AmazingPen

I felt home
Patience & commitment is a needed mama advice
You can't see what it entails clearly without paying attention
So, we would lay quietly listening to mama stories as it leaves us in amusement
 For what we saw was far more than our imaginations; it was a gift
Sometimes it was a woman carrying her child while cooking, other times it was children playing

 *TheWriter'sWriting*

My Haven
Beautiful sunlight
The breeze of clapping seas
 Dancing around in wavy form
Swaying of trees in unison
Never did I know of the sadness its bringing to my feet

My Heritage

Emptiness the best illustration of our beginning
Heights and depths of water
Corrosiveness of fire
None can comprehend
That's how we started
*Meerah Zubairu*

In that scattered house of nothingness,
Except of course for an ekuke dog called happiness,
There laid a pathetic figure of hopelessness
And the only thing to tell that this figure still had life was her deep midnight black eyes...
That figure was my Mother.
*D Young Writer*

From the regional part of northwest
There my identity reflects ray in clusters like floret
I glory in the beauty of my hood
It's indeed a flory portraying good
Ethnography dare not to depict it's awesomeness
*Meerah Zubairu*

She became an hopeless sight ever since Dad died:
You see, he wasn't just her husband, he was the owner of her mind
And at last she 'cracked ';
Starting to talk words that was,were, weren't,is,will and won't be...
Sure it was disheartening and I was constantly humiliated,but hey! Some of those words made me.
*D Young Writer*

My heritage a mnemonic to be induced by different regions
Fiction be trodden upon
My heritage birthed within me as agility running like waterfall
Giving life and fixing all odds to the succeeding
The real essence of my existence
*Meerah Zubairu*

People looked at the deceased's picture and remarked on how we look alike
And how like her I might end up being a big talker maybe with mike.
Of course I would smile physically and plead 'the blood of Jesus' spiritually.
Even though she was my mother, I couldn't deny the fact that she was mad...
But then,words are powerful and they were already beginning to bear roots in me.

How I Met My Mom

It was a special day in Olympus,
City of the gods, the lands of the chosen,
The clouds trembled as the mountain shook,
Darkness for a moment, even Zeus couldn't strike his bolts,
And behold light from nowhere.
@Jockwriter

For words can never say
For unlike butterfly, this memory was never meant to scatter
We stayed together in a canyon
As if heaven was not said to be better
As if our heart was waiting to release its pressure through our sweat gland
@Poeticbbl

This isn't a story for the gods,
Neither is it one about deities,
Rather it seeks to tell of a being, one that has no limits,
One whose love isn't of the same league with that of the son of Aphrodite and Erebus,
A being who needs no bow and arrow like Eros would require.
@JockWriter

It was on the 1st Day
The child of an arrow was born
Fortified with hands led by an army
A cockney in the hands of time
An unordinary being triggered by an engine of LOVE
@Poeticbbl

Beauty beyond that of Venus,
Like I said, it's not a story about the gods,
She is a simple being, yet a supernatural one,
Mentor to the famous mother Teresa,
A woman, yet an angel of He's.
@JockWriter

In the daylight my eyes sneezed
For before me stood the galaxy of beauty
The greatest climber i have ever seen
The architect of this thing called my laughter
And there she was like an ejected tube of rainbow
@Poeticbbl

For a reason the sun was in a hurry to see this
The clouds were too small to hold their tears
The Earth was just a concubine
And i, an artifact waiting to be hung
Waiting to be held with care
@Poeticbbl

Wasn't unplanned, it wasn't unprepared,
He(the Almighty) placed her in a universe,
His next blessing to this ungrateful world,
A large star compressed as a being to shine and emit love and care,
Now she is the datum for the defination of joy and happiness.
@JockWriter

How she met me was her best
For long before i did live in her luxury
In this London of evergreen love
A creation craved from the naked hands of time i was
As if my smiles could open doors of goodwill... Oh! it did
@Poeticbbl

he dropped me in her, *HE* chose me to win the race of life,
9months i stayed healthy and happy inside of her,
Came out and I've been blessed ever since,
Chosen i am, to be brought to this world by His chosen, and lucky is the world to have her as the centre of its defination of a beautiful heart,
It wasn't a story about gods, it's a story about THE gODDESS

Humanity

A life that you own yourself not
Of brutality and torture
Of head and heart work
Of hunger and thunder
A life bitter than bitterness.
#HABAR

OFFSPRING of love divine, Humanity!
To who, his eldest born, th'Eternal gave
Dominion o'er the heart; and taught to touch
Its varied stops in sweetest unison;
And strike the string that from a kindred breast
©Divine Martins

We are not dogs but chained
Deprived the right to breath
Heed to no one but our masters
Fed with garbage and junks
Speaking of cloth, rags are all we knew.
#HABAR

From the slight puncture of an insect's sting,
Faints if not screened from sultry suns, and pines
Beneath the hardship of an hour's delay
Of needful nutriment; when liberty
Is prized so dearly, that the slightest breath
That ruffles but her mantle, can awake
©Divine Martins

I can remember the story
Told by our grandfathers
Of a slave who lived a life
In between life and death
All because he respond late.
#HABAR

Tears with stripes.
His quivering flesh; with hunger and with thirst
Wasted his emanciate frame
Exhaust his vital powers; and bind his limbs
In galling chains? Shall he whose fragile form.
©Divine Martins

We work from sunrise to set
Whether our bellies smile or not
Just like everyone we have feelings
Of love and wants
But for survival sake, we swallow them all.
#HABAR

Again we tear the morsel from his hands;
An useless booty! while the sufferer droops.
Of keen enjoyment,can you boast?
Add poignance to your pleasures!
Can their tears delight you,can their groans?
@Divine Martins

A life of a clock
A life of confinement
A life filled with spikes
A life filled with all sort of woes
A life that I will wish to my enemy not.

#HABAR

The noblest freedom, freedom of the mind.
From the bounds of right and wrong given.
By penalties severe; which often flow,
But always certain, on the guilty head,
Pour down the terrors of the wrath divine

Joy of Nightmares

Walking the lonely streets of dreams,
Encountering hurdles,
He came riding,
Disrupting my senses,
Triggering all emotions
@Tilde

Been beaten up on the assembly ground,
Like an unrepentant sinner,
In front of Barbies with beautiful smiles
Not a drop of tear came, I put on a smile like they did.
Because after, the ladies will come closer and hail my heroics.
©?BobMayor

I trembled with the fear of the unknown,
With no expectations,
I tried to run to into his protective arms,
I couldn't,
Everything felt numb,
Like the stillness of the night.
@Tilde

Fight me in my dreams,
Burn me up like a thief,
Crucify me for my sins,
And make my pay immediately,
So when I wake, I'll be a new being
©?BobMayor

Oh, how much I longed for safety,
As I come closer to his arms the farther his reach from me outstretched,
With uncertainties in my heart,
I wondered how long before this moment ends,
The atmosphere felt stiff
@Tilde

I'll go through the memory lane,
From the city of heartbreak,
To the streets of lies,
Then will sleep on the bed of unfaithfulness,
All, to feel the love you offered in the beginning.
©?BobMayor

They came for me, with charms and planks.
They said, will use him.
I felt my head pounding, i ran for my life.
Only for me to wake up on the other side of my bed,
With melodious voices, wishing me a happy birthday.
©?BobMayor

Lightening struck the ghosts
Frightening me, he reached out, pulling me close,
His heartbeats calmed my thunderous heart,
Shading and tucking away frightful images,
Of nightmares I wouldn't want to recall
@Tilde

Bundled in his arms,
My heart strung, with a soothing voice, he said "it's alright, it's only a dream"
I wept, holding on tightly to him,
Relieving my mind, it was only a dream
Such is the joy of nightmares
@Tilde

I drank from the cups of darkness,
Eating from the plates of Depression,
And swimming in the pool of low self-esteem,
But it wasn't the end of me, It was the beginning,
As it brought out my hidden light.

Chaos

Chaos
And if on the Murrow man forget his brothers, nourishing a machine and neglect his own skin,
Not stargazing, not moon sighting and leaving on the side track do man make of the fate of nature,
If only just one moon in years I'm I allow to see with my lover,
Locking hands, and if only once in a century do sun shine on us,
Then amidst all this chaos, not caring is all we have to be.

 Chaos
Homage to the beginning of man, his curiosity,
I pay my homage to the art of innovation.
And if on twilight, man no more cares about his woes, pain and man forget to nourish his dreams,
And if watching by the side line is my fate.
Then amidst all this chaos, not caring is all I have to be.

Culture
At this beautiful evening now,
We are cultivating culture of light,
This light is gift of God is adorable,
Beauty has defined justice of joy,
When a snowman winks his eyes of coal and from their windows children know
Magic's in the air.
      ruky ??

Vultures of prey, stopping, ejecting their catch of the day.
We watched from a hillside, a vast world away Through the trees, down the meadow is the grand old hotel.
Where hosts greet each guest as the day stretches on.
Wearing coats with long tails, ... red satin vests, and with proof on lapels, of fortune and wealth.
Too rich for our blood, and we are flooded with awe

Outcast

My thoughts hits deeper than I expected
More like a forlorn and lonely figure
I think too hard and felt the world is against me
How harsh it is, they all made me feel like an outcast
Could this be true?, Questions I am still finding answers to
@Tomide

Eyes filled with tears
 Heart filled with fears
What have I done? To be like this
I don't want to but it seems my destiny is written like this
@Hussainy

Just like NF I began my search and quest for answers
Unintended pulse drove me out of my lane
My meticulous push made me realise
That even in the midst of friends I became an outcast
The journey I started, this I don't want to end
@Tomide

Am I different from what I thought I am? Why can't they just see me for who I am?

I have suffered from loneliness no happiness and joy
They reject me and forbid me from playing with their children right when am a boy
Life is so unfair
While other people live in happiness I live in despair
I feel like committing suicide for I have not been treated in this world with justice and fair
@ Hussainy

Well funnily enough,I realised I was riding a bicycle without pedals
Plunging headlong to looming dangers
Though,I don't mind not to be an outcast
Because amidst friends and the world,with mockery eyes and criticising fingers I embraced
I felt love and betrayal were my best friends
@Tomide

Tired of playing with myself
It's natural to have a hate for oneself
But what can I do I didn't climb up the step?
It seems difficult but I have to figure it out myself
Without waiting for support, encourage or help
@Hussainy

For all I want, a strong will to keep pushing further
For loving this much,I drew strength and what I was given in accordance
The burns and hurts I still feel could lift me over the bridge of doom
Still yet a feeble mind I possessed
An outcast I have become
@Tomide

On whom should I place the blame?
On my parents who failed to protect my name?
I know am a human just like them
I have a soul and a body just like them
But whatever I did still not seems to please them because they think and always feel like am not of them
@Hussainy

For it is the world against me
I beg to know,if these feelings are not willed from within
Maybe I wouldn't be allowed to wallow deep in my thoughts
As I succumb to their claims,for an outcast I did still be
For this are my intentions in my utmost perception
@Tomide

A Journey Through My Life

Pin drop,the silence was loud
Hashtag a baby is born, dead gone the mother was
Bang bang,the landlord overthrew
Loud cries,papa had fled
Nosiy chaos was the start of it all
@JayHeart

I came into the womb like a clout of blood.
With no pant and cloth; a boy was born.
I kept quiet to observe the new environment.
But a hit on the ass was what I got
Then I realized how tough the journey is gonna be.

?? *Penspeaker*

Hustle bustle the noise of the street
Wailing sounds of the siren wakes me
Gunshots, riot in the town
Cling clang,I'm locked in jail
Tear drops,suffering for a crime I knew not
@JayHeart

I grow and glow on a daily basis
I tried to communicate the way they do,
But all my effort only came out in cry
I learn to walk and speak with mom
And slowly I realized how miraculously the transformation was

?? *Penspeaker*

Buzz Buzz,the prison doors opened
Whirring and jeering, neighbours mocked
He's an ex-con I heard them say
Heartthrob, loud heartbeat, I sobbed and cried
Tears and sweat off,I took my hat and heart to work off
@JayHeart

I was enrolled in school to acquire knowledge
It was fun and awkward; those moments I had
Picking up my bag to join the race.
First it came as joy when I got to play with friends,
Then it turned to sorrow when I got to memorize thousands of things.

?? *Penspeaker*

Tractor sounds,whirring noises,cling clang
Jack of all trade or so I was called
Yes sir,yes sir, I returned to boss to an errand
Guess who I met in the elevator ?
Seems life is full of ups and downs afterall
Runaway dad was a cleaner ,oh my...
@JayHeart

 Adulthood came with lots of joy and anguish
The quest to mingle brought love that ended in tears
The handsome and brainy dude fell into the trap of love
Thinking everything was gonna be fine with her forever,
But eventually got married to a random lady with less love. What a life!

?? *Penspeaker*

Moments they say define life or so it seems
Time to cry and another to laugh, God has promised
I've perspired in the mire, but didn't retire
Though I misfired, but I refired to acquire
That desire I admired... Guess that's just my life in a bit
@JayHeart

Responsibilities got plenty than expected,
After plucking kids like an orange in garden.
I got to work under pressure, just to put something on the table
The body got weakened and I got to walk with sticks
On the ground I fell, and I realized the journey was over.

?? *Penspeaker*

Collateral Damage

"A shame indeed!" they spat bitterly full of contempt
Their eyes showed nothing but disdain
Her knees on the earth
"It was a mistake "she confessed
But they had all lent out their ears

@napheeesarh
 Blindly, they did cut off all bonds
Dejected she was for she was rejected
"Our Angel "they called during the best old days
"The pride of our people! " they crowned
"Does an angel bring disappointment? " she questioned

@napheeesarh
 A single error brought an abrupt halt to all the love and trust
"Ain't I human"she wept
If only one of them could take a peak at her heart
And at least give an ear to hear her own side of the story
But no, "she is a whore!"

@napheeesarh
 Her heart too damaged she wandered around the earth
And brought forth another being on the streets
Pulled together her cracked soul for the sake of her son
Alone and stranded,she moved on
Still lived pure, didn't give up

@napheeesarh
 So true it was when they said time hides no truth
The son of a 'whore' now rules them
Their eyes starring at nothing but the earth
If only they had known that beauty is in the heart
And imperfection is in all

@napheeesarh

Book: Reflection on the Important Things
