Behold, the Lamb

Behold, the Lamb, John did say,
The sin of the world, to take away;
Behold, the Lamb, soon coming again,
Will He find you ready, or in your sin?

Behold, the Lamb, so lovely and so fair,
God's Son so precious, and far beyond compare;
Behold, the Lamb, the very soon coming King,
The One that paid it all, and we owe everything!

Behold, the Lamb, one day twill be too late,
Behold Him now, delay may seal your fate;
Behold, the Lamb, as He knocks upon your heart,
The debt was paid for everyone, He took your part!

Behold, the Lamb, for He's beholding you,
He's seeing and hearing, all you say and do;
Behold, the Lamb, for you'll bow before Him one day,
Will you face Him debt free, or will you have to pay?

Behold, the Lamb, as He's passing by your heart once more,
Do you hear that knocking, could that be upon your door?
Behold, the Lamb, while there's still opportunity,
Before your time runs out, and rejected you'll be!

So, Behold, the Lamb, as John did say,
He came into the world, to take mans sin away;
Behold, the Lamb, to which every knee shall bow,
So, don't put it off, today is the day, the time is now!

Patchin

When your clothes are worn and torn with no money to shop,
You're patchin!
When your car makes a loud noise and rolls to a stop,
You're patchin!
When your teeth are full of holes but you need them to eat,
You're patchin!
When your shoes are worn out wearing blisters on your feet,
You're patchin!
When the roof you're sleeping under is letting in rain,
You're patchin!
When your days come and go and all you feel is pain,
You're patchin!
When your eyes are getting dim, but you need to see how to go,
You're patchin!
Glasses or contacts, and it's not a good thing, you know,
You're patchin!
When women's hair turns gray, but they don't want it to show,
They're patchin!
When someone near you speaks, but you hear not what they say,
You're patchin!
When you've said the wrong thing, and the spouse is in a huff,
You're patchin!
And you find that "I'm sorry," is just not enough,
You're patchin!

This life of temporal existence, is filled with patchin, that's true,
But yonder in that eternal home, no patching for the redeemed to do!
Thanks to the Lord Jesus, patchin forever done and through!
For He patched up with a perfect patch, redemption for me and you!
The old testament saints from year to year, their patchin never done,
But God sealed and closed the books on it all, when He sent His Son!

Satan's Allurements

Satan paints pretty pictures, on billboards and on T.V.,
All for a specific reason, it is done deliberately;
He wants to control your thinking, the eye gate is the best way,
But there is nothing wrong with it, is what you say!

Satan knows to keep your mind bombarded, you'll be no good to God,
He knows it's all over, when you're laying beneath the sod;
So all the trash he puts before you, he definitely wants you to see,
So get to it, hit the remote, turn on the T.V.!

But you say there is nothing wrong, it won't send me to hell,
If you are saved, that is true, but you'll have a worldly smell;
I could get drunk and run with whores, wouldn't send me as well,
But plenty would be ready to throw me there, this place called hell!

God said, set your affection on things above, not on this earth,
The system and the world, don't get along with the new birth;
Most set their affection here, could be the only thing they know,
For, if ones affection is set above, it is surely gonna show!

No, all this mess won't send the saved to hell, may cause someone else to go,
For, like an eagle they are watching you, and they do know;
God saved us and left us here, to help someone else get in,
Not to be someones excuse, for them to live in sin!

So, a living sacrifice, is what the Lord is looking for,
And everyone with this hope in them, purifies themselves, more and more;
Don't be afraid of gettin' too holy, in this life that won't be,
Just look to the Lord, and the right example you will see!

He's the One

He's the One so lovely and fair,
He's the One beyond compare,
He's the One with wool like hair,
He's the One who will always care,
He's the One you can go to in prayer,
He's the One your load He'll bear,
He's the One your sorrows He'll share,
He's the One who will never despair,
He's the One soon coming in the air,
He's the One to catch many unaware,
And He's the One you'll face over there!

The Law

The law was given, that the offense might abound,
So man would know of his guilt, yes, the whole world around;
The law is our schoolmaster, to bring us to the Lord,
To reject the law and it's Giver, you cannot afford!

For the law says you're guilty, condemned, and sentenced to die,
And we cannot help ourselves, no matter how much we try;
For the wages of sin is death, the law says so,
For we were all born sinners, and to hell we'd surely go!

For without the law, man wouldn't know, that he came up short,
For he missed the mark, that God requires, a very sad report;
The law of God has done it's job, it's got you condemned, you see,
Bringing you to the One, that can release and set you free!

The law is not your enemy, for it's a very useful tool,
Teaching you of the debt you owe, while you go to school;
If this schoolmaster you will not hear, it won't turn out well,
For to be cursed under the law, you'll only end up in hell!

The law has found us all guilty, no use to build yourself a case,
Your sentence will forever stand, unless He does erase;
For He gives full pardons, to all who will come clean,
And He will not pardon, while performing a religious routine!

The law is forever stated, and will not ever change,
Yonder upon Calvary, the laws' satisfaction did hang;
But the law is not at all, satisfied with the fallen race,
For to be found in Him is our only hope, for He took our place!
